I don't see much of a point to a GS rep anyway. With 36k high-beat or spring-drive movements, and spectacular finishing, a rep would never even be a fraction of the gen quality. I'd own a gen Grand Seiko for the absolute quality they represent, not for the name on the dial.
That may be the funniest thing I have ever read here, by that logic no rep of any watch would be made.
The GS line is it's own creature. Honestly, just check one out with a loupe and you'll understand what I mean. It's like making a Lange rep, you can put the name on the dial but it won't be passable.

Um, no. You can not compare a GS to a machine made Rolex! GS are hand built by a single crafts person in a manner much like a Patek. They are several levels above a common Rolex which is a mass produced factory made timepiece.I agree that the GS line is incredibly well made and almost flawless, but I would say the same for 1990-2006 Rolex as well. You look at it and can see no flaws. Everything is exactly as it should be, right down to the amount of shine on the steel. So in theory, a rep would/should be equally impossible.
With that being said, if TC decided to do a GS I bet it would be a tough call to tell the difference. my 2c.
