You cant tell for sure if it 2824 or 2836 looking at that side of the movement.

I can tell you thats a Seagull clone, but what is really interesting is its got a incabloc shock system on it, not the regular novodiac system.

From RSHs description thats probably what you got.

if you pull the movement and its a 2824, you should have a extra thick dial spacer on it

I got one from Sead about a month ago and he said it was a 2836 but who knows. I was contemplating doing the TC mods but may just avoid the headache at this point.

Just to muddy the waters a little. Does the Z2 POS movement version BPSD also use the same case as the better ETA clone versions? If so is it possible to use the same dial and hands with a TC2824 or should I go the whole hog and get the TC SD dial and hands package? I know I'm going to need a TC v4 DWO, but I'm quite happy to keep the existing dial and hands...

The Z2 POS is almost a direct swap for a 2836, not a 2824.
I personally would stay away from the 2824 for the BPSD, as the stem height is different, although there are some people who have managed this swap

Okay buddy 2836 it is. I was pretty sure the case would be the same across all movement options. How do you rate the TC dial/hands vs. the stock BP?

And if you have the chance o get an 2834-2 you could do it as well, because 2834-2 and 2836-2 are the same, you just have to remove the day wheel from the 2834-2. 2834-2 are often more cheaper because its not as common, just got an 2834-2 for abou 50 Euros, while serviced 2836 costs 100. I have read its direct swap, i will confirm it next week if you want.

2834-2 is a direct swap once the day wheel support is removed.
