Today I received my package from toro a lovely 45mm CrPo. When I opened my DHL plastic I found this inside

I'm kind of pissed mainly because the watch was just sitting in the box not protected in any way. Somehow it didn't fall out and get all knocked around. Has anyone gotten their packages treated so poorly?

Once, I got my watch wrapped in plastic with no plastic bag covering the watch, and mailed in an envelope. The sticker with my address was obviously removed from the box the TD mailed it in and TAPED on the envelope. I was pissed ... Customs went through the original package, f*cked it up and mailed my watch to me in an envelope ... Luckily, the watch was fine .... Bubble wrap is an amazing packaging tool!!

Is there a shipping service that is less likely to have this happen? I've never had these issues before and I don't always splurge on shipping.

You reckon customs would open it ..... See a Rolex ..... See that the declared value was $50.......and put it back without asking questions?

Seems unlikely?

Well I don't know as I've never had any of my packages opened or any of my watches damaged. Which is why I'm wondering if this happens often.

Some TDs pass the watches to a courier that takes them to the DHL drop-off point.

Courier (or even the TD dispatch person) is more likely to have opened it before passing it to DHL. Maybe there was an order mix up and the TD asked the courier to open box and check it was the right watch (before passing package to DHL)?

If customs open it - they will attach a notice to the box.

Customs have to attach a notice to the package to say that it was inspected (think it's a legal requirement).

^ shit.
Wow.
They actually opened it and put the watch back without making you pay tax or without confiscating it for being an illegal counterfeit item. Very strange

That's crazy. I once had a watch mailed from a m2m, in only a padded envelope. Showed up DOA. Go figure LOL...
It got resolved, but still, extra time/expense.

That is messed up... I've only ordered about 12 total packages from China some watches and never had that happen.

Jesus I thought DHL was the way to go. I've never had anything like this happen to me at all. Regardless I'm just straight upset with the way my package was handled. I can't believe the way they just manhandle shit.
