I never get tired of hearing the details of your builds it gives me hope!!!! That One day!!!

So I came home from Florida today. I have been dealing with a family member with the final stages of cancer and I had to take my daughter down there to say her goodbyes.

So I get home and the Full gen LV bezel and assembly is here. So I take off the Star time one with the Gen bezel insert all the way to the crystal ring. So the Gen one is all together in one unit with the crystal ring and click spring. So I rotate it, and anyone who knows what a Gen bezel sounds like, I was just so relieved. So many people are rip offs. This guy had great feedback and he was local in NY so I would have gone down there and flipped. LOL.

I installed it and my God is it beautiful. Only thing is that the LV dial is put in with dial dots and I moved it a little when I took the movement out to pressure test the case, which by the way, passed with flying colors. I NEED A GEN LV DIAL!!!!!! If anyone knows anyone who has one. So here is LV list now.

TC 16610LV Type 1 case and dial.
Gen crown stem and tube thanks Mike
Yuki 3135 with rolex parts done by Mike (Misiekped)
I put a real rolex winding bridge and auto winding gears and bridge and rotor.
Rolex 93250 SEL bracelet.
Rolex LV bezel assembly, crystal ring, click spring, friction disk, LV bezel insert.
Brand new Rolex crystal with LEC and AR
Brand new Rolex date wheel.
Brand new Rolex LV hands

I know I have listed most of this stuff already but man am I proud of this watch. If I could just get an LV dailHere is a pic. I am fixing the dial tomorrow. Way to tired right now with the drive from Miami to St. Petersburg then fly to NY and do all this stuff. I might mess up my watch and really don't want to. Enjoy the pic.

Looking god. All of these posts about Subs got me trying to rebuild my old 16800 back. Just need a decent TC dial, or an old MBW 16610 unit and I am set.

Why is the datewheel so far left justified on that LV sub ??

It is my fault. The dial is a TC 16610LV dial. It is a real good dial but since it doesn't fit a 3135 my watchmaker used dial dots to put it on. So the Gen date wheel isn't lining up because when I did all my work, putting a new crystal and the Gen bezel assembly and clean everything and take out movement and test the waterproofness, I moved the dial by accident. I need to realign it or better yet find a real 16610LV dial. Few feelers out there so I might have one soon.

Well today I did one of the last improvements to my LV. I normally call it my TC 16610LV because it started its life as such. Since getting it. I used it as a TC for a long time. Then I discovered Yuki. Since then I strive to put it in all my watches if they don't have a real 3135. So this watch went to a yuki and gen date wheel and hands and crystal and tube and crown. Then me being the nut I am, I changed the bridges , winding, auto winding and train wheels. Why because I am experimenting. So far works fine. So the TC kept kicking out the gen LV insert. So I found a full Gen bezel assembly from gasket to crystal retraining ring, to bezel, friction washer, gen LV insert. So I got it, ordered a new crystal with LEC and AR and pressed it all together. OMG it was a beautiful sound to hear that gen click.

Well today, thanks to my friend GMG_3. I brought the gen LV dial. I just installed it. OMG. Not taking anything way from TC's dial, but besides the case there is now nothing on the watch that is TC. This watch has
Gen crystal
Gen hands,
Gen date wheel,
Gen auto and winding and train wheel bridges
Gen parts that Mike puts in when he services the Yuki.
Gen tube and crown
Gen Bracelet and a gen clasp. Different dates thought. Long story
Gen bezel assembly and bezel and friction washer and click spring and insert.
TC case.
Yuki/rolex hybrid movement.
And here she is..........

If I could find a Gen 16610T case at a reasonable price I would buy it.

Here is my cost break down because I'm sure everyone is thinking I am nuts. Remember its the hobby. Not the price!!!!
The dial $600
The bracelet is two in one. The first one was a lot. I destroyed it but used the Clasp. And Sub007 was selling the band not the clasp
so it worked out. Lets just say $700 for that.
The whole bezel assembly was $850
The crystal was $300
The date wheel and hands were another $400
The Yuki was $345
The gen Rolex parts for the yuki were $800
Crown and tube $100ish i think.

Totaling $4900 and change. Plus the orig price I paid for the TC years ago. But I have sold all of the TC parts making up most of the TC orig price.

Now if you are saying You should have got a gen, then you don't get it!!!!!.

I want a special thanks to Mike (Misiekped) who did all the work except the bridge changing and the dial replacement. That I did. I'm getting pretty good at this hobby. LOL. And to GMG_3. Thanks brother. You made my dream come true. These dials are harder to find than a whore on payday!!!!!! LOL

Sweet pajamas that thing is STUNNING!

A gen LV is what? $6-7k if you're lucky? And you've got basically a gen with a few aftermarket parts, the pleasure of building it yourself, and some new friendships. When you look at your wrist, you don't just have a preowned Rolex that someone else wore around for a while and then sold you, you have a precision machine that YOU scoured the internet, assembled, and built yourself, just for you. It's a bargain at twice the price. :D

I could not have said it better if I had worked on it all Day, its worth so much more when you build it yourself and If I had the skill I would do it too. Super Fantastic Gold stars to everyone involved!

Thank you all. I see a majority of you get it. The thrill of finding gen rolex parts. Meeting the guys. Learning how to put them together. It is just fun. at the end of the day have a great watch that you and you friends build that is a Rolex and you paid a few thousands less than it cost some no name to build.]
