I'm looking to locate info on 16610 rep that is currently available other than TC, pre-owned and franken and have not found specific/concrete info.

In Search of:
Who makes new, right now a worthy example, (not on TC level), a 16610 Submariner rep, (or No Date 14060).
I don't want to hear "they're not worth it" or "just get a TC" I would like to know if one is available. TC is Tier 1, what is Tier 2, meaning just below TC, like the respectable BP Sea-Dweller OTB it's not TC level but damn respectable and desirable.

Doesn't have to take gen parts, (not going to franken, maybe a Clarks insert), has to look goood and have A2824 clone movement, does have to be around BP Sea-Dweller quality, meaning you don't have to do mods unless you really want to or have the funds to do so.

Does it currently exist?

I don't know the answer to your questions, but may I ask why you don't want a TC? Price?

Don't worry Daywatch I won't...
(Just quoted you in a post about the BP Sea-Dweller a couple of days ago... should follow my own advice and and go BPSD!)

...and gratitude for the non snarky reply, obliged.

Oh mate, you were dangerously close to asking the forbidden question...must have been loads of members hovering over their keyboards waiting to pounce !!

Totally understand your dilemma, though. If members are so happy to say ' buy TC, he's the best', why, for fear of being shot down, can't someone just ask 'which is the next best?' Why the snobbery? After all, if you want the 'best' you don't buy TC, you buy a GEN!! Get over yourselves, people, they're all replicas, so give some helpful advice (thank you, Daywatch!)......or is it that you just don't know the answer?

Just my ten bobs worth.

In the meantime, buy the SD!

I'd recommend you buy a cheap Noobmariner and enjoy it. The one I had looked terrific; the dates were centered perfectly; the movement was the A21j and which ran perfectly; the bezel turned with a nice click! I bought it for about $140 and I sold it when my TC V6 arrived. Now I wish I hadn't as it was an amazing value for money! However, YMMV!

Thanks for the info, and great build! Really wish Noob didn't stop making their 16610, sourcing one now could prove difficult. The BP 16610 LN and LV may be enough for me, but it's more feasible to for me to go for the BPSD.

The noobmariner were great value for money - see if you can find one of those.

The other option is the one that has the D serial engraved on them. I bought one last time and its become my favorite as I put in a 2824 movement and some TC parts.

Here's a thread detailing what I did

Update: Took me awhile, picked up a BP 16610LV 9015 M2M over at RWG came with leather strap too. Very happy with it, may or may not change insert; no other mods planned. Running -2 seconds per day on the wrist, face up overnight, sweeeet! May want to pick up another and mod with LN insert down the line, like the Maxi look in older style case.

Future purchase, hunting 116600 SD4000 a2836/9015, (I know they don't make one yet), v2; v3 by the time I get to it lol. A Batman/Polar/DSSD blue would be nice too.
