Ok, have a simple choice to make by this weekend. PAM 000 or IWC 377701? Always wanted a Panerai in the watch box but love the pilot style by IWC too. Both pre owned and similar pricing approx 4k. I'm neither a diver or a pilot so that has no bearing either. Arghh, I hate having to choose!!!

I think he's talking about gen lol. I say go with pam as they retain value better imo.

No... I understood him. I just think the rep PAM 000 is pretty damn close to the gen, so go with the one that doesn't have a Super Rep. That's all.

You do make a fine point about that haha. I'm inclined to agree. I don't wear my gens anymore because I have the super reps to beat around instead.

Didn't think about the long term value part so that's a good point [MENTION=75488]dragonman4[/MENTION] but also a good point that the PAM rep is pretty damn good whereas I wouldn't want the IWC rep cos I would trust the movement.
Even if the rep were 99.9% equal to the gen, it would never be a gen!
And when you wearing a gen, you fill good and pround. IMO you should go for what you like more, regardless if there is a super rep or not.
Also my vote goes for PAM. I own a gen one and I must say its fantastic!

^^^^I kinda agree. There are certain watches that I feel the gen is reachable within financial limitations and PAMS and IWC fall into that category. In this case both of the pieces I was looking at were sold before I got my chance to buy but then I found this......

Always do a lot of research before I buy any gen and my recent experience shows the best place is TRF (The Rolex Forum). The non Rolex sales page has every other brand for sale. I purchased from DAVIDSW and this is my second watch from him. He has great reviews. Prices are competitive and shipping is fast. He doesn't always list his entire inventory on TRF so take a look at davidsw.com
To buy ANY Gen I suggest chrono24!
You just have to pick a truster seller, do a bit of background research and tou should be fine.

I've two 1950 pams but Im in love with radiomirs now, they are so cool, pretty and sexy at the same time. Also you can get one for decent amount of money

you should try the panerai online boutique too. Their prices were really good and who better to buy from than the manufacturer direct. No middle man aka AD adding their share on top!!
Im sure that one day I will have one, also its a nice watch to borrow to your girl, they look sexy on them.

Panerai have a problem, once you go pam u wont cam back heh
From what I saw they were carrying whatever is in their current lineup. Also noticed they were cheaper than Jomashop and that's saying something.
