My dealer (Hont) claims the Noob V5 with A2836 is out of stock currently, could that be? He claims only the version with the A3135 movement is currently available, but I don't want that movement (heard a lot of bad stuff about it). What do you guys think about this?

You mention that you want a ceramic Sub. In your place I'd get a Sub C but the no date version (114060) then. By getting the no date, you're already eliminating 2 possible flaws (wrong dwo position and cyclops). You can get one from BK if you really want a gen swiss mov and qc, or from other TDs for much less. The problem in getting it from a td is that you'll have to do the qc yourself just by looking at the pictures they send you. It's your call but this is what I would do. I basically like all the models of Subs. They are all great and unique.

get a tc. all noobs are hideous, regardless of how many gen parts you use, because the case lugs/bracelet SEL edge is rounded rather than sharp. This doesn't sound like a big deal but it's a deal breaker in every light.

I agree with BSCS, I myself chose a No date model that had a faulty movement then purchased a brand new Swiss ETA from offrei so now she is running perfectly and there's no date issues/tells

Yes, TC is the way to go if you want the best otb Sub. Def my choice. But if the op really, really wants an otb Sub c, I'd have to say Noob V5(V2) no date.

Please remember, your abrasiveness and combative disposition got your other account banned. Unfortunately no matter how much you throw at gen parts you will always have a blatant tell. now, to spare everyone from thread crapping, I won’t respond to anything other than respectful etiquette.

The OP started his thread and asked ONLY one question. And that was "which is the better watch" ? He has gotten his answer. There is nothing more to say here............... The TC Sub is king.

TC is the best period, but is the most expensive one, but if you don't want to spend that much money you can go with the Nood but the quality will be inferior.

To those that may not have known the past King of Subs before TC came into the picture, well it was a WM9 Sub. No longer made and out of business. It was a Super King. To this day they command a heftier price then any TC out there. Sad to see it go, but heck, it was something. ............ Something indeed. .............. We are all one lucky bunch to have TC continue the lost art of 'perfection' in his own way. More power to him.

Everyone must be in a great Friday mood as I can't remember a noob asking "what's the best..." and "what's a TD" without getting set on fire for a while now. :hehehe:

Bwhaha I was thinking the exact same thing as I read through this post!

I mailed TC as well. No response yet. BK only provides the swiss movement. But I have heard many bad things about these Swiss movements here. Claims that most of them are refurbished ones. But no offense meant BK's ones must be brand new. Any comments please?

Forget what you have heard from noobies and hearsayers..........not all Swiss ETA movements that are offered are refurbished. Perhaps the 2846, or the Branded ones coming from older Swiss brands may be, but there are still genuine ones out there. And yes , BKLM Swiss ETA and Sellita movements are GENUINE brand new Swiss ETAs. Not everything said here is gospel. THERE ARE Swiss ETA's to be found.
