Hey guys, I recently acquired this beautiful YM from a good friend of mine. I love the watch, it looks amazing and I am very happy with the deal we made. I do have a question about the maker. Last owner says WM9 and I have no reason to doubt him or to distrust him. I think it might be an older TC, some have said Sean (I doubt it but anything is possible) and some have said BK. Now I'm only curious so that I know the history of this watch and in the future if I ever have to sell it, I have this thread as reference and I can price the watch accordingly. The only small issue that I see is the bezel, I had a TC FD YM and I don't remember the bezel numbers being this big. I will most likely just search for a TC or a WM9 bezel to swap these sometime in the future. I have opened the case back and confirmed the movement is a SWISS ETA 2824-2. Here are some pics for reference. Whatever this turns out to be, it will be worn and cherished in my collection. Thank you all in advance for your help.

and a group shot with my favorites

Hard to tell Joey, but it has the TC style crownguards.........BUT.........
I was under the impression the the early TCYMs used the same cases as WM9 and BK...........

But what ever she is, she sure is purdy !

Thanks bro. It really is an amazing watch. Pictures don't do it justice. This is one of the untouchables in my collection no matter what it is.

I found a pic of a Sean case, the rehaut looks a little more wokky, but it too has those same crown guards....

Thats interesting, I love the blue dial. I plan on buying the new TC YM and then source a gen blue dial for this YM.

If you care for accuracy I believe the blue dial ym only comes with rehaute engraving whereas the new tc ym has none, would still be a stunning combo none the less, I personally hate rehaute engravings and would love a blue faced ym without, would be so clean!

Im not a huge fan of rehualt engravings either. I try to keep my reps simple. The less complications it has, the fewer chances of a major tell. That's why I love my no date. It's clean and without a side by side, you could never realize it's a rep. The blue YM dial is beautiful and I would love to have both the platinum dial and blue dial in my collection

My guess would be its a BK or WM9.
impossible to be a TC case due to the engravings. Also dial and insert doesn't look TC to me.

As noted a couple days ago when you asked me Joey, its a BK WM9...

Not only is the insert an instant tell (last iteration BK used close to the end of his offering), the lumes a greener tinge and the engravings are present. On top of that, the engravings are also crooked which was common with the WM9 case. Specifically "Orig.", its slanted.

I didn't doubt you my friend. Just figured I would post this and get everyone else's opinion and more importantly there reasoning behind those opinions. I now am certain it's a WM9. Thanks guys for all your help.

yup its a WM9 from BK ,from his last batch , BK ran out of the good Bezel inserts towards the end,and he had to source these ugly bezel's to fill his orders, you can get the proper insert from TC im sure ,as his are the same watch/case and source as BK's were

Awesome thanks a lot. That will be my plan. Find a TC insert and then I'm all set

Original BK bezel is more gen than TC bezel.

Original BK bezel (which was WM9) eventually, not the ones he used when he ran out of them on the last batch ;)
