I understand one tell on the 44mm steel 2011 model is that it has 4 ticks instead of 3 in the sub dial.
But i have heard that gens do have 4 ticks too..

For the evolution model it seems the minute red markers seem lighter than the gen.

Anyone has photos of theirs that can make my decision easier!
What would u guys pick!

You can't go wrong with either and it is going to come down to personal preference.
For me, I like the look of the Evolution.
Just my 2c worth.

I have the RG/Ceramic and I would choose that one any day. In terms of tells, you can really only notice the differences if they're put next to each other

I own the Rose Gold Ceramic Evolution style with carbon fiber dial. Amazingly Gen like. Comes down to whether you like number dial or stick dial.

Mostly going to boil down to preference. Neither is going to really have any flagrant tells that the other one doesn't have.

That said though, the age old saying still applies; the more features are, the more tells there will be.

The evo having lettering as opposed to markers, red accents instead of colour uniformity. These may very well be spot-on, but it's just more little details that can go slightly wrong (relative to gen likeness) in any given production run.
