He needs to go into another line of business or hire someone to manage the customers. Why would you dream of talking to people that way unless you had to?

OK i got screwed then... is it because I ordered them during the memorial day sale? so "sale items" are thrown in a fedex envelop? :hehehe:

I dont think so. I order two 18mm buckle they even gave me an APBAND box with it. Previously it was oni put into an envelope

OEM straps in my opinion arent that much more expensive, especially considering its extra quality and not having to worry about it fitting well. I also believe it also retains a higher resell value?

Ive bought aftermarket straps from 3 parties, and have had minor issues with the look and the comfort with all of them (not the dealers fault, just me nitpicking). In my humble opinion its better to spring a little more for OEM for the peace of mind.

Also, i am never buying AP bands after reading this thread, especially considering their condescending attitude to replica watches and their customers. talk about shooting yourself in the foot.

This isn't an isolated incident, it's a perfect example of behind the curtain there.

Before I decided to go the long road myself and have inserts made, I inquired with them about purchasing them. My nice, polite inquiry was met with

"If you want to buy these it will be 20 a piece with 1000 units minimum. "

So, sure I could have them. For $20,000... minimum.

I said I must have struck a nerve, $20,000 minimum? And more typical shit attitude-

"We manufacture them. You didn't invest any time or money in R&D. What do you actually think you could purchase them for?"

So, here we are, APBands. I have probably invested more time and money in R&D then you now. On top of my completely handmade straps, i'm working with a huge strap manufacturer to have some high end machine made straps made w/ my inserts. This is all almost a year in the making so far.

As per Luthier who literally knows the factory that makes them, AP Bands straps are not made in Italy, they are made in China. I guess the 100000% honest business man doesn't count false advertising.

Oh, and those turned edges are going to crack sooner rather than later, so the straps are shitty investments. This is why genuine AP uses painted edges, you can repair it almost endlessly.

Dan, I'd give you my money any day over that asshole. It's good to have people like you here.

I've been wise to his Made in Italy bullshit for quite some time.

This guy seriously don't deserve to earn our money at all with his shitty and arrogant attitude.

We should boycott them altogether since he did not want his straps to have anything to do with rep watches.

They are out of my strap list for sure.

Shithouse! Plain and simple! I will NOT be buying from him again, especially since I have experienced a similar issue with my most recent purchase from ap bands!

This needs to go viral on the boards!

Maybe a website with the truth about AP bands would be a good idea so it can be a warning to others.
I notice he has a good online presence, as the first thing google returns when you search for ap straps is his website. I bet he values his online reputation and presence highly.
