Well it comes that time when life takes over and hobbies have less time.

This is not a going away post but just a if you dont hear from me you know why post. Not that anyone really shall notice.

I joined this forum 4 years ago with a lucky stumble and havent looked back. Over the years I have learned a lot about horology. From AP to zenith and everything in between. Thanks to all the mods for keeping this forum in great standing. It is truly one of the best forums on the internet - mainly because of the watches but also because of the bacon and boobs. I also would like to thank rsh, tc, ale, ko67 and txrob for always answering my questions when I didnt know anything. I still know a lot less than them.

Here are some interesting tid bits from my journey if you care to read:

- My first rep was a panerai 177. I wore it at my wedding and the photographer who had on a gen 188 said "nice watch sir" and did not look twice (shows you how good reps can be at an eyes glance). I also went free diving with this watch in turks. I would have never sold it but I dropped it one night after 3 years of ownership and busted the balance wheel. It is out there somewhere though. One thing I will say, it seems like everyone who was visiting turks had a panerai on. Maybe they were fellow rwi members.....

- I wore a $50 tswatch special 16610lv to jamaica one trip. A worker at the resort grabbed my wrist and said "ah the oyster perpetual, what are you a doctor?" Again - dont obsess too much over it becoming perfect - reps werent made to be perfect.

- The AP diver was the rep I got the most comments on - people who didnt even care for watches thought it was awesome. If I had the funds an AP diver gen would be my choice (with a XS strap of course cause I got a 6.75 inch wrist).

- I spent over $300 trying to fix a watch once. Never did fix it. Took a loss of $450 on the watch - which eventually found a good home. Part of the hobby.

- I got my dream rep the franken 16610 - modded by ko67. The watch was awesome.

- I reaffrimed my love for the submariner. I am going gen soon, ceramic though - it grew on me.

- I had and will continue to have a lot of fun.

Be well.

- E

Last thing I remember, I was
Running for the door
I had to find the passage back
To the place I was before
"Relax, " said the night man,
"We are programmed to receive.
You can check-out any time you like,
But you can never leave! "
