I posted this over at RWG as well, but figured I should put it here as well as a warning not to do what I did

So, I was doing the mod and I wasn't happy with how the 2 and 4 came out, so I used thinner to remove the paint and start again. I put the paint in and then went to scrape again around the edges of the numbers and the black (paint?) on the black half of the BLNR batman started coming off while scraping. Goddammit! Be careful, I thought the ceramic was able to be scraped easily without any problems, I learned my lesson. Be careful with your watches if you do the mod.

It was a crazy sale watch from Tony, so I guess it's a slightly less expensive lesson than it could've been  I've already asked him via email if it was possible to purchase another insert, wish me luck.

Good luck, I have drawn blanks trying to source a new V2 Noob ceramic Seadweller insert with the already platinum numbers, nobody sells this bezel insert on its own :(

Could it be that the bezel is not ceramic? I wonder if thats the case due to it being so cheap. Because many people have done the mod without issues

The bezel insert is definitely ceramic, the insert itself does not scratch while scraping the excess paint off. Unfortunately, they've painted the black portion. Some guys over on RWG have said the newer Noob versions of this watch have colored ceramic and no black paint over a full blue insert, so it shouldn't be a concern if you have the newer version.

Yes that bezel is painted. Only Noob does the dual color ceramic bezel for the Batman. So naturally paint will come off if you rub thinner against it.
Although I think usually it's the black that's ceramic, while the blue is paint. So this is interesting.

I'm not sure if it fits this particular case but check out pure-time I know somewhere on the site he is selling the dual color ceramic bezels, but with white numbers I believe. But at least you won't be scraping away any paint with that as one half is blue ceramic and the other black

Do you know if the same applies to the Noob 116710-LN model as far as the black being all ceramic without paint?
I'm curious to know if you can clean excess factory paint (noob paint) without damaging the bezel. The goal being to give a very crisp sharp cutoff to the numbers that have just a tiny bit of trickled over paint.

Thanks!

I had some excess factory paint on my Noob SubC V3 bezel. I used a thin safety razor blade to scrape it off (slowly and carefully). It didn't damage the bezel at all.

No offense to anyone but surely a hand painted watch is going to look 'home made' rather than precision Swiss made? Lol

One of those would probably work just fine, but I used the double edge type. They're super thin and flexible. I figured they would be less likely to dig in.

The 116710LN bezel is all ceramic so it should be ok if you used thinner to swab its surface.
