Please refrain from stating why you are not buying on someone else's sales th...

Reading sales comments is the best thing about this forum. I get bored reading the usual "wow man that's AMAZING" bullshit.

I personally wouldn't cry if someone said (on my sales thread) "dam, those crown guards looks messed up bro".

End of the day it's a non profit making sales thread and this is a forum for people to discuss watches ...... so I welcome positive and negative feedback on MY sales threads.

Obviously, thinking that is coherent and logical has no place here

Well observed sir. Self-criticism is one of the virtues I most admire. You seem to be on the right track.

Thread crapping sucks. It is nice to have constructive comments. They are helpful and often entertaining.

I've seen people sell $100 watches for $210 but people are too scared to say jack in case they get flamed down for thread-crapping.

I agree with OP but some people are waaaaay to sensitive on the whole 'thread crap' issue.

I have seen this too, but I think things sort of naturally aspirate themselves. I think it comes down to doing the right thing protocol/common sense, which is really the reason behind the vent in the first place..

1. Report the Post. Staff will see it and make a call on it. 2. PM the seller and just be nice and say, hey, this is 100 right here on Watches4less.com, just thought you would like to know before someone dings you in public. (If they ignore the PM, maybe they deserve a ding if you ask me. ;) ) Some guys think they can pull one over on us, they can't, they'll be called out eventually. They should just follow 1 and 2.

I know what you mean on the sensitivity to Thread crapping too. When it comes down to it, we all need to live with one another here on RWI, just like a family. Now get off my couch with those dirty shoes you drunk! :)

I do no agree. Free speech is more important that being ripped off.
To suggest that people have sinister motives when commenting is totally out of line. Prove it.
To dictate what others may or may not say in a sales thread is not the way to go.

This forum is here to inform people about replicas and that should include giving comments on sales. If a new version is coming out it is perfectly reasonable to state that information.
+1

Not everyone knows everything about every watch. I really appreciate senior members asking sellers to justify their price and question things that are not clear. It is actually a huge feature in the sales thread that makes me much more comfortable buying there. I'm not suggesting you shouldn't do research yourself and know what you're buying (as that is the best way to avoid sales issues).

Plus it is always fun commenting when someone lists a Canal Street Rolex their dad gave them for $1,500!

As a seller I'd just take the bump and ignore the comment.

I agree that profiteering should not be given a free ride.
It's one of the safe guard we have as a community.
However, when someone tries to sell a watch at perfectly reasonable price and disclosed everything, and someone comes up discouraging there is better watch or , if I may make up a story (I've actually seen this though) in the case of some pams, " kw version is better, I'd pass this JF version" or something to this effect to shu away buyers is not right.

Let's say if I listed a V1 of a particular watch, disclosing it's a V1 and set my price accordingly. Would it be a good practice to comment " there are so many flaws with this watch" ??
If the sales thread explicitely stated it's a V1, implying there are subsequent version, I'd think someone with half a wit would spend extra 5 minutes to search for other versions and freely make up their mind to buy it or not buy it. Just don't need to actively discourage other people's sales.

No it's not good practice and I'd be pissed if someone did that in my sales thread. It's not right to have a pissing match to show how much you know in someone's sales thread. I see it more in the high dollar Franken sales and such it bothers me be because a lot of work has gone into these watches. The cost of the build is USUALLY laid out in the thread if you disagree than move in stop telling people what to sell their custom builds for its ridiculous if you don't agree move on!

Thread crappers are nothing but malicious minded individuals. Period. There are many ways to call out a watch if it is deemed 'improper'. Not hammer it down. PM the seller, PM a Mod about it, or use the words 'mistaken' in your thread. Be nice, and firm about what you think about it. BUT keep your sledge hammer in the toolbox !! ..........................now where was that Canal Street Special I was fooled into believing was a TC Sub. ...................... Bam !!

I would like to profiteer, just once. I lost $300 on the IWC I sold a couple of weeks ago. I would also be happy just to break even.

I always took the view of I don't give a shit what anyone posts in my threads. If I was selling something I would encourage any posting cause even their dribble of nonsense bumps my sale and I can then respond in kind with more nonsense and bump it again. So even if some shit stirrer comes along and drops a load in my thread I just don't care.

Now thats not to say I dont understsnd the point being made here, I do, but most here can see through others bullshit if you know what I mean.

I'm ok with ppl stating that the newer versions will be out, given that's publicly available information, and the sales piece has reflected these factors and not selling for a quick gain.

I really hate those "if only" posts on sales thread. IF ONLY I have the funds, IF ONLY I'm in Conus, IF ONLY I have not bought the previous watch, IF ONLY my dog has not died...

So basically don't say shit on anyone's sales thread on a counterfeit watch forum because there are some people that probably won't like it?

Last time I checked I was a grown-ass man, who served my country and have developed a deep affection for replica watches which helps my PTSD by taking my mind off of events I have experienced. When I say "If only I had the cash" I am fantasizing about the details and work that went into developing, creating, and building something I am passionate about. It's day-dreaming like that, that keeps me from putting a bullet in my skull some days so I couldn't give a rare **** about what someone else besides a mod and the seller thinks about what I post on a sales thread.
