Is this crown gen?

I purchased this gen crown for the 16610 from a very reputable seller, but it looks slightly different from the crowns i normally see on gen subs. Specifically, the hole in the coronet looks much smaller, and the "fingertips" of the coronet a bit longer. I'm not sure if this is just a crown from an older model sub or if the crowns also have variation much like the dial font and alignment of subs. Any input would be appreciated!

Compared to the GEN crown here:

Bro if this is gen it's a very old 703 or 702 looking at the logo.this gen pic you posted is of the new logo 703 .for me to tell u if your crown is gen I need to see the other side where the stem attaches.so take a pic if it's a hexagon shape it's gen.if round it's fake.

Thanks smoke, you're a real asset to this forum. Here are the pics you requested...it looks like the shape is circular rather than hexagonal.

Sorry, the only camera I have at my disposal is the iPhone 6, so good macro shots probably aren't possible. From what I see, it looks like the stem attaches in a circular shape rather than a hexagonal shape. Here's the ebay link (and seller) I purchased it from: http://www.ebay.com/itm/131474444537?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT

I messaged him before purchase and he said all his Rolex parts are guaranteed genuine.

The link here is of a 703 new style crown logo.that's not what u have.its not difficult to take a close up with an iPhone man come on lol

It's gen and it's an old 703 with the tall coronet- they haven't been repped yet.

I had originally thought Rep because it looks diff then a few of mine (see below). But I have a gold one that is exactly the same.. slight variances over the years.

Another style vintage 703.

Thanks so much for the help guys, I really appreciate it. Where the stem and tube meet is very hard to tell if it is hexagonal or circular, but now i'm leaning towards hexagonal as well. In terms of price, are vintage 703 crowns more expensive than 704 crowns?
