Its finally here after a long wait!

This is the pearl I got from Vac!

Awesome guy, responds to my emails very fast :) Thumbs up!

Anyways Here is the pic!

I have not installed the pearl into my subc, I will do it soon.

I have not seen a genuine subC before, so im not in any position to comment on how gen looking this pearl is compared to the gen pearl!

But I can say that this pearl looks a lot better than the pearl that comes with my subC.

The vac pearl has a sapphire cladded pearl and the colour of the lume matches exactly the noobfactory V5 subC. I really recommend vacs pearl if you are thinking of changing yours!

pardon me for the poor quality pictures as im using my iphone to take these photos!

Cheers mate!

*edit refer to the bottom 2 pictures reposted by raddave. Thanks raddave!*

Thanks for the Pics !

Man, thats a big fat post there !

does the factory pearl you have, have the same size post?

I wonder how hard it would be to modify a older insert to accept this

TY !

it looks like thats a hollow tube and the lume is filled through that hole ?

I thought maybe it was a solid metal post that could be reduced in diameter for the older style inserts.

Its a great looking pearl none the less !

I would like to know what tools do I need to remove the bezel? As well as assembling back the bezel?

I wish i could help you in that area, but im not knowing myself.

The only ceramic i own is a DSSD and ive never been able to remove the bezel.
Ive always just removed the insert from the bezel while it was intact.

Normally i would suggest you do the same thing except now, the new pearls have such a huge post, the bezel inserts would have to have a matching hole, so now the inserts would be really fragile id assume.

Im gonna stand down and hopefully wait for someone who has done it before on one of these now models to chime in.

U.K.
The noob Paarl is thick at the back just like that and fits snug into the insert. The bp is not which is why they generally fall off!

Hey raddave, how do you remove the insert without taking out the bezel?

the only way i know is to remove the bezel, soak in WD40 and wait for the glue to dissolve.

george: vaclume has this pearl. He is in one of the section in this forum. Or u can jus search vaclume in the search bar

anyways im done searching for a watchsmith in singapore who is willing to do these mods... Im going to buy the tools and do it myself instead. Hope it works

I used a soldering iron to heat my insert until the glue was gooey, then i grabbed the pearl with a pair of sharp sidecutters and gently lifted up and the whole insert came with it.

If you are looking for a watchsmith in singapore, check out this thread .......http://forum.replica-watch.info/vb/showthread.php/180590-Singapore-watch-repair?

Thanks dave,

I think I will just do it on my own. Its a good experience for me too, since im really interested in modding it.
