I recently purchased the new Tudor Pelagos from Pure Time. It looked great and came w/ a certificate for water resistance tested to 50m. I have was very pleased as it was a great rep. I went fishing 3 wks prev and got splashed heading out from the waves. no big deal I thought. Just wiped the watch off and kept going. It has never been underwater. Last week I noted heavy condensation under the crystal. I opened the crown and put it in a ziplock bag w/ rice. It dried up but now I see rust on the center pin of the watch that holds the watch hands and what appears to be rust staining the minute hand. This watch is 5 months old! I have not even put it under water. I also have a Rolex Deep Sea I purchased from Pure Time and it has a rotor that keeps coming loose that I have to send off to have repaired. What should I do? Ask for refund of Tudor? Send it off to be repaired on my dime? I have sent Pure Time an email outlining my situation and asking what I should do. Im no noob been on here since 2005. Never had a issue like this. Now I have two from same dealer. Any ideas?

Im at a loss as to what to do.
Ive never trusted those water tests (by the TDs) anyway.
But then again, if they include it with the watch i feel they should honor it in some way.

But they are probably gonna say the crown was not tightened properly.

The rotor, i would fix myself

But i am interested in the outcome, so please make sure to update your post as to future info.

For the rotor just tighten the screw and leave it at that - you can put a tiny bit of loctite on the screw (only the screw, you don't want loctite on the bearings)

For the pelagos, I'm afraid if your minute hand is starting to rust, then it's very likely water has infiltrated the movement and it is starting to rust as well. Send it off to a forum watchmaker to get the movement cleaned and re-oiled, as well as get the minute hand cleaned up for you.

Also, puretime probably won't replace your water damaged watch - it would be impossible to tell whether you had the crown unscrewed at the time, whether it was their fault and the seals were compromised, or whether you've opened the watch to damage the seals, etc.

I don't think they can do anything. mine have been water proofed but I still don't trust it. I don't let mine get anywhere near water.

Even gen watches shouldn't be put near treacherous waters

If you paid extra for water proofing I think PT will tell you to send it back for repair. Of course, you'll have to pay the shipping back to China.

This is exactly what I would do.
