I say as I always say... no Rollie is gen without a movement shot.

Exactly!!!!!!!!!

So why judge a 'gen' based solely on exterior pics? I'll never understand it.

Get exterior pics.
Get movement pics.
Then it's simply an all-original parts genken if there's no supporting evidence.
Then it comes down to papers and receipts and service history to determine proper gen factory authenticity.

But you can see why stopping at step 1 is futile.

no u dont uderstand if he shows movement pics of a gen 3135 that does not mean anything ,we can put gen 3135 in reps cases if we want so u need to first look at the outside to judge if gen or rep,

:sigh: I think you misunderstood my point.

A $2,000 Rolex movement is what 95% of reps do not have.

That makes it 95% more desirable to see before anything else, if claiming gen.

Joe,
Why are you asking. Is this a test or do you really not know?
My first question is, what did you pay for it and from whom?

TC bezel teeth are actually a basic dead ringer of Y series teeth.

The tag however would suggest that Sub is an M series.

The pictures aren't close or detailed enough for me to tell, personally.

Most but not all, some Z's and M's are nekkid.

ive never seen an m serial without engravings ive looked as thay came out in 2008,also m serial 16610s have the new style bezel assembly teeth simular to the 116610,anyway there are a few clear tells on this 16610 that its not gen just looking at the case and braclett among a couple other things ps ive seen z serial 16610s without engravings though and are both 2008

Dude, it took me 2 minutes to find three Z series from AFTER the M that still don't have rehaut marks. It's just not so cut and dry.

EDITED: sorry that third one was a Y, clearly.

i said m serial ,anyway ive have seen a 16610 lv mserial without rehaut anyway i forgot my uncle had one.its just rare to see a m serial with no rehaut engravings compared to with ,but like ive said ive never got the is this gen or rep test wrong yet;)

ps z serial subs are more common without rehaut engravings than mserial subs
