Help: Opinions on this APROO

Hi AP experts,

My friend just bought this preowned AP ROO and he wanted my opinion on it knowing that I am into gens and reps.
However, I am not as knowledgeable about AP's and their different variations, so I am not of any help.

I know...I know...he should have done the verification prior to buying, but he didn't consult me prior to buying...and
he had no reason to doubt the reputable gen dealer he bought from.
Plus, this has been a watch he has wanted for years, so when a deal came up, he took it.

I suppose when he saw my collection...and how good reps have become, he just wanted piece of mind that this is
gen and not a rep or franken.

I blurred out some of the numbers on the caseback. He took the pics with an iPhone, but he can take different angles if needed.

So, I humbly ask the fine experts of this subforum for your opinions.

I love the fact that I can come to a rep forum and get more reassuring authentication than going to any gen forum...Most of my all gen friends with can't even tell my POrikka is rep...

Thanks guys…my friend is quite relieved and quite impressed by the knowledge of the members here and of the rep quality.
I don't venture into AP sub forum much at all…and my wife would KILL me if I start picking up some AP's, especially since she
wants me to get rid of some of my 30+ other reps…but I may have to peruse a little more here.

Why not just take it to an AD and get it verified.... An official seal of approval should best any forum opinion.
Not trying in any way to question the knowledge of forum members, its just my personal view in general anytime questions of this nature pops up

Good advice. It is getting a little strange when the guys from the gen forums have to come here for verification. The gen forums tend to mock the rep Forums when they are not parading their tremendous buyers clout. There are crossover exceptions but not many

My friend doesn't live near a gen dealer except for one that is a jewelry store that sells some...I guess that would be the best verification...but our guys here are better in my opinion than some gen dealers.

Also...sorry for the confusion if you thought I was a gen forum guy...yes, I have a few gens...but I mainly collect reps...

Yes, I'm also a member of some gen forums...but never post there...in fact...because of family life and work, I don't get a chance to post on forums much, but when I do, it is on rep forums...

And honestly, I trust the guys opinions here more and I think we know our watches better...I just don't dabble with AP's yet...

but my friend called me first knowing I'm a rep guy...

Is there something specific you want to see on the cyclops? reflection, side profile or datewheel font?
