Supporting vendor issue, what are my options?

Chose a Supporting Vendor thinking they may provide better service since they're gonna work harder to prove themselves worthy of TD status. [emoji57] Not sure that holds true in this transaction.

The timeline:
Mar 8- Sent payment via WU
Mar 9- Payment received
Mar 10- Received QC Pics and requested for a new piece since there was something off with the 569 pearl and "15" bezel marker. Supporting Vendor mentioned I'd get the new QC Pics after a day.
Mar 11, 12, 13, 14- Followed up New QC pics and no dice.

What are my options? How much longer is a reasonable time to wait, considering the money I sent hasn't returned its value in the form of the watch I chose?

Bought from a TD last year and it took about 2-3 days to finalize QC and send the watch. I was expecting it (the timeline) to be similar.

What watch are you asking for might help to get an idea of the issue.

I think you need to be a little more patient. It's only been five days since you paid.

You rejected the first watch. The dealer, likely, needs to source another watch.

^^^this. Actually the fact that you got your first set in only a day after payment is awsome. Patience my friend

So my earlier experience with a TD was an outlier then? The wait is on then.

It's not a outlier. It's normal. Buy the gen if you want quick service. Dealers have their issues when sourcing at times. Be patient

The others have all raised very valid points. You're definitely not to the point where you need to worry yet, chances are the SV is simply sourcing another watch, which doesn't always happen at the snap of a finger. Alternatively, it's possible the one you rejected is being repaired to match your expectations. In either case, no cause for alarm.

Also, I'm not certain SVs are "TDs in training" so much as people doing this on the side or working with far lower order numbers/quantities than a typical TD, who does this for a living (as JAFO pointed out, and I suppose he'd know).

So my earlier experience with a TD was an outlier then? The wait is on then.

Not really an outlier, perhaps on the low side time-wise of typical outcomes, however. Exchanging/rejecting a watch is a bit of a gamble, you could have new QC pics the next day, you could have them in a week or more.

Regardless, you'll be OK. We don't have any "shady" dealers here..... Be they Trusted or Supporting.

Will continue the wait then. :)

Hi, my opinion is just wait and than check what the quality of the watch is when it arrives.

Remarks: SV sent You qc-pics for a rep just 1 day after payment received - that was good; He told You he´d be back 1 day later and he wasn´t:
did he catch a cold? did he have a family emergency? did he already go to the market 5 times to look for the best watch he can get You and everytime he detected some tiny flaw and didn´t bring it because he´s trying to give You the best possible service?
It´s easy to assume the SV/TD is lazy or just doesn´t care - but maybe there is something else? Just pick Your choice. I have long since discovered the fastest service does not mean the best watches. Just take it easy.

14th he followed up with QC pics and shipped? So are you asking when you can expect arrival? EMS is usually about a week depending your location...you not provided tracking nos to check online?

No, from the 11th to the 14th he (the buyer) followed up on the new QC pics from the SV, but had not received anything from them yet.
