Bro, I have 2 frankens. Grey Themes on Noob and Silver Themes (or White Themes) on JF case.
My advice: Built that Franken Panda on JF case, then you'll have all the time to get a gen HB or gen rubber strap, etc... etc... ;)

You are a wise man. i will follow your advice.

I did try and get a Gen HB, but gave up with the ADs. Was thinking about sending the REP strap to Jacob to use the insert, but again Guru tried this and said he needs a new mold which costs €€€€

dude, if you want a gen hornback in london, just pop in Marcus on New Bond Street... They will order it for you and in 3 days, voila.

Hey G, didn't you already have a JF Panda as the base? or yours is the Noob version? I didn't quite remember.

Hmm so what's the dilemma here? Only option is to use JF case of course. Hahaha.
As for oem strap, it's a matter of luck to find one which can fit JF end links without gaps. Some can fit with gaps, some no gaps.

As for JF bezel, I think what Guru said was, the bezel can fit Noob case but you have to use Noob tachy in order to fit properly. CMIIW.

Thank you for the tip, I haven't tried them and will give it a go.

It's a bit scarey thinking you can spend that sort of money on a strap and it's potluck if it fit

gashers you might want to keep an eye on the Parts sales section to look for the Noob end links (lugs) to come up occassionally...they might fit the gen straps better then the JF's.

the j12 might be more accurate than the noob out of the box, however, when building a franken you will replace the dial, tachy, hands, dw, cyclope and crystal anyways + the case will be totally reworked. In general i prefer the noob case since the gen and most quality aftermarket straps fit way better on it than on the j12 case + as far as i know there are for example safaris or pandas of the old generation with F serial (noob caseback) but not with I serial (j12 caseback)... J12 is great as a base when you are looking to built a franken on a bracelet, want to have one with blue rubber crown/pushers or maybe building a rubber clad (if the new rubber bezel is really that good)...

I will keep the Cyclops and Crystal, for my taste they are great. I also prefer the bezel screws on the J12 case. The only issue for me is the strap, but I can live with the rep until I get something better.

My advice? Use the JF for the Panda Franken. It has numerous advantages over Noob case. But: Have Domi fill and redrill the plot holes to your spec. Domi has the tools for it. After all, he is filling and redrilling all crown tube holes on these Frankens. Shouldl be easy for him.

Can't wait to see a plot mod like this... I'm not very confident about it, but it would be great if it will work out though
