Getting To Know The Place

Hi all. I have been on here for a few months now, but this is my first real post. Hopefully not in the wrong place.

So, I have read many threads about scam watches and sites, and have it drummed into my head that there is no such animal as a "1:1" replica. I have even seen moderators yell at members over this fact. So then, why would this site list a dealer as Trusted when said dealer uses the 1:1 term for most of his models? And if he truly is trusted and makes good reps, why wouldn't this Forum urge him to stop using that description??

Just curious :)

It's marketing. Like the fit birds in a Kellogg's cornflakes add. Never seen one like that ever.

Hello, welcome here.

Yup, it's all about marketing and promoting the products that they sell. Read more and you will be able to know which is true and which is not.

Hope you enjoy your stay.

I interpret 1:1 as "we've made our best possible effort (within financial viability) to replicate this item from an actual real-life genuine, following correct dimensions and attempting parts interchangeability, but of course running into economic, time and technological limitations (of which impact is reflected in slight, negligible unnoticeable differences from the genuine items)".

I like to think Trevor would explain this way :)

That's very well put mate. However, Trevor couldn't even read that paragraph let alone write it :D
