Just wondering who some of your favorite trusted dealers are who reliably ship their watches in a box. I bought from Sead a few years ago and he shipped the watch in a foam container (great). I've also bought a couple watches from Toro's which arrived in padded envelopes (disappointing).

If you ship say a rolex from China in a rolex box with papers customs is likely to charge you a tariff on the cost of a brand new gen. It makes more sense to ship the watch and a watch box seperate.

Sorry I may have been unclear in my original post. I am not referring to a replica display box, just a simple cardboard box to protect the watch in transit! Early in my rep career I had a watch shipped to me from overseas in a padded envelope and the watch was dead on arrival. I think any watch with a delicate mechanical movement should be shipped in a box and I'm surprised all TDs don't follow this practice. I'd like to find out which ones do!

The only dealer that has sent the watch in a foam box for me has been Watch International. They are not trusted here but helped me source an FA jones when they were hard to come by.

Ryan (Intime) sends them in a cardboard box with plenty of foam for support. I find this to be a great and safe way to send the reps. I have ordered from him countless times and never had any issues (Knock on wood)

Like the cartel does....close, in a styrofoam box....watch wrapped in bubble wrap, in the box wrapped in tape inside a corrugated box. I think that is it.

Yeah, Josh boxes it up so good with so much packing tape that I think it intimidates any Customs guy cause it'll take 20 minutes to get it unboxed and repackaged.

That little Styrofoam box, bubble-wrap and shipping tape may not be the most elegant "looking", but I have never had my watch arrive the way it came into this world ...:baby:

Perfect Clines uses Foam boxes. At least mine have come in them. Trevor might as well. Ask them.

They are using a lot of equipment magnetize get watch movements. It's a pretty easy fix but a major bummer. It's why I won't buy any of the glass back divers. Need that antimagnetic piece. I had the last two movements magnetized. Harder to fix as they were crazy hours and my watchsmith hates them. I have the demagnetizer but in a donut shape for pocket watch movements. A bit trickier.

Thanks for all the input so far gentlemen. Sounds like the foam containers are fairly common...

From my past experiences dealing with Trevor, Sead, Ryan and Sora. Only Trevor does not ship in a box.
