Saw that one. Not surer what to think of it since they only show it from one angle. If its wrong you just wasted $140. I'll stick to the rep crystal and this mod I think.

That's the same as on Milgauss reps. Green AR and green gasket.

Mil with gen crystal (sorry for dirty watch, been using it lately). Here you can see that gen crystal sits little bit higher than should.

where did you get a gen GV crystal?

i thought those were pretty much impossible to get?

Crystal costed hi-end rep price. Almost pulled trigger on gen dial and hands also but these don't fit very well with Asian or ETA movement.
I've been using this watch for over a year and it's still waterproof.

Only one time in this year I have seen gen crystal on sale.

The watch is on its way. Just waiting on the arrival and I'll tear it down and have at the mod. I'll post as soon as it's done.

With ordering the j12 version it will include the green ar. Newbie here, will you remove the stock ar, if so what is the best method. obviously can't imagine it will do well in 375 baking process. Wasn't sure if the paint would be sufficient in creating the green color from above on the bezel edge. Your images suggest it will be a great method from a side angle viewing, which is the key give away with just green ar.
I ask because the j12 milgauss black face is my next purchase and this thread has been enlightening.

The AR is coming off. I'll use a Cape Cod cloth and some elbow grease to remove it. To the naked eye you can't tell the crystal is green except from the edge on the gen. I scrutinized it at the AD.

You are correct about the edge, but curious how the edge matches up from above. The side view looks great but curious if the edge paint will produce enough green color to match the green Sapphire from above. One of the key items I am looking forward to seeing on your molded j12.

Against the dial you won't see any green from the top.
