Patek is the king of watches. A patek is something you pass along to your son. Wear it in good health.
Tha only issue with that watch is its a $28,000 watch. If the rest of your bosy does not have designer all over it , It may appear fake. Walmat sneakers and a Patek will give the watch away, Thats the trouble with Very high end watches loke the Rolex YGs and Smurfs. You have to have the car and the clothing to fit the watch,
Rolex Subs can be found on anyone. Bt those very high end watches are only fourn with Brooks Brothers and high end clothing.
IN other words it is not the watch that gives itself away its the wearer that gives the watch away. That is why I stick with $6000 watches tops as reps.(and Gens)

really? I know people who rock 160k watches in flip flops. It differs from countries and cultures. Gen people don't really care what others think. They buy watches for themselves to enjoy and admire.
Having said, the only time we may need to pull it off is during work, meeting or a sales pitch. Besides, patek, vacheron and most brands here are unknown to most casual watch wearers.
Even if your watch is a fantasy one, they will be hard pressed to know the exact reference number. Unless you wear a rep into a AD.

Smart people who buy the real thing can spot a phony wearer a mile away.......like a bad hair piece. Thay may not say anything to the wearer but you can bet they are talking amongst themselves. Go to those high end forums for more information, IT is not about flip flops...its about an entire lifestyle. Would a $40,000 wearer be paying $700 rent in a middle class apt? Driving anything buy a high end car? I seriously doubt it. Look at the BIG picture not the little example. They know believe me.

Pal I drive a Mini Cooper on steroids I make an above average income and so does my fiancé by no means are we wealthy yet I own several suits in the $1200-$5000 range I buy shoes in the $100-150 range I had no shame stepping out of my mini with a day date ii full YG rep on and no one would have thought twice to question it. It's how you carry yourself. You shouldn't crap on someone else if he likes his Patek let him rock it. Who the hell are you to tell someone else what they should and shouldn't wear. If he wants to wear it he should rock out with Patek out its all in the confidence of the wearer. In most cases I always assume gen.

Yeah I am not trying to fool anyone. If anyone knows it a rep, good for them. If anyone asks me if it is a rep I tell them it is. I wear the watch because I like them and enjoy the hobby of modding the watches and trying to make them perfect not to fool people just to know that it can be done and I have a story behind the watch and how unique it is to me. Which I don't think is possible with walk in and buying from an AD. Unless you go piece unique watches which are mega $$$ then you don't get to build the watch (source parts for it and such)
King. seriously, you need to give up. You are new and show little knowledge about how any of this works. We buy these watches because we like them. I could care less about my social and financial status in this world. I'm probably one of the poorest people money wise on this forum and I buy whatever watch I want because I like them. I don't give a shit what anyone thinks I can afford or what I can't afford. You have a lot to learn here. I could never afford a thousand dollar watch in the situation that I am in and with my income. I don't care. If I see a rep I like I buy it. If I saw a patek rep that the gen cost a million dollars and I liked it I would buy it. who cares? get off it already. I don't buy a watch to match my financial status. If I did it would be a 10 dollar walmart watch. I love watches and like just about everyone here we buy whatever watch we like.

Most people who have gen's don't know shit about their watches. The people on forums is a small percentage of the people who wear watches everyday. Hell the most anal people I have meet about watches have been on the rep forums imo.

This is so true.
Anytime I wanna have a good laugh I go to the "scams" section on TRF. Some of the canal st specials that get posted are hilarious. Even funnier are the comments saying they think it's legit or the bezel looks aftermarket. :rofl:
