Recently received one of TC's new 16610LV subs but with the black insert.

The bezel was almost impossible to turn so I popped it off to take a look. Long story short, the click spring is now somewhere in the next street .

Do any of you guys know if a gen or Clark click spring will fit a TC and work successfully?

Neither gen nor Clark are exactly right but can be made to work. Tc sells them by the 10's.

Thanks guys. I did email TC earlier this morning. Problem though is that WU fees from Oz make it an expensive proposition. I'll wait for a response from him and see if something can be worked out. Otherwise it looks like a Clark.

I've managed to get the bezel working beautifully. The friction washer needed a very light sand with 1500 grit paper.

Just need a bloody click spring now.

Get a clarks click spring or genuine off The Ebay. Outstanding job on the friction washer!
Thanks, I was pleasantly surprised when that was all I needed to do to fix the stiffness. I was hoping it wasn't something more serious.

But I think you need a account to order from Star Time.

I got one from forum member ado213 and it is perfect. It seems like his version is also thicker than the one I ordered from Clarks also but I might be wrong. I do know it works perfectly.

Question, I thought I read somewhere while doing some searching to put a dab of grease in the click spring hole? Is this correct or not? Just kind weird how big the hole is compared to the diameter of the click spring.
the star time supply click spring will also work.

Nice piece. Looks good. You can also consider a gen bezel insert. Members often sell them. Change the look of the watch to Black Sub/LV.

clark click spring is pretty damn close to gen.
i have a gen and a clark click spring and its hard to tell them apart.

id go with clark.

do not get one from WSO. the one i got from them was too long and wouldnt fit without some serious bending.

BTW, did you request a black insert? or is that how the TC LVs come?

i thought he had new green inserts made?

Yeah, it's TC's LV but I ordered it with his black insert. I have a Steinhart Ocean 1 with a green bezel insert and didn't want another watch with green.

Thanks for all the advice guys.

After much crawling around on hands and knees with a flashlight I found the click spring this morning. A Christmas miracle.;)
