All things equal price wise which would you go for. I am going to get either the sub or the gmt II.

I mean the differences are mainly the uni versus both way bezel. The gmt hour hand. The polished midlinks and the movement.

Everyone has a sub! GMT seems to have more wrist presence (due to polished links etc)...it's a bit more bling bling. That may or may not be a good thing.

Having said all that a sub is a sub! The best watch ever made IMO.

Prob going to come down to me trying them on at the ad and the one I like better I go for. But I am keeping my Franken 16610 most likely.

The GMT bezel is more interesting looking in my opinion. Not like you'll go wrong either way though.

Yep they are both beautiful. Very similar design with a small difference in price. This will be tough.

The polished bits pick up scratches very easily tho and it looks like a beater in a week. Lol

If you already have a good Franken sub that you really appreciate, and even if it is not a ceramic sub, I would suggest that the best choice is GMT. Sub C would be too close to your Franken.

Mmm tricky one. ive been pondering the same question myself. An AD told me the sub will prob hold its value a bit more than the gmt, but my Franken is so close it sort of feels hard to justify the cost of a gen sub.

Also the gmt has the extra feature of the gmt hand, and as we all know there is no good replica of this movement, so although it will look close, a rep/Franken gmt will never properly replicate the function of a gen. Whereas a good rep or Franken sub will look and function exactly the same as a gen.

I'd also say though go and try both on at the same time. Go for the one that sings to you most!

I throw in and suggest the GMT, it has a stunning presence on the wrist IMHO. Best of luck with either direction you go with.

Unless you are planning to dive beyond 100+ meters, the GMT can do pretty much everything a sub can do, but a sub cannot do everything a GMT can do.

+1 for GMT
