I did search & Sorry but I do NOT have a video link, though I will work again on finding one. The show just aired so it may be too early.

It was the Nat Geo show "Drugs Inc" new tonight, episode is called "Manic Molly" about MDMA.
I simply found this interesting. In full episode WITH commercials - at about 33:30 in to 39mins - there are two clips at a customs office, separated by a commercial, related to all the incoming packages, most from China and the inspection process.

For those asking why customs takes so long: you can clearly see tons of packages waiting to go through!! They go thru scanner too like at airport (which I did not know.) Anyway enjoy ;)

Custome employ a risk based assessment regime based on the country of origin, so articles waiting inspection will ebb and flow based on what gateway you are in, and the CTO.

Its an interesting operation all right, dog runs, X-ray, secondary inspections etc - my job takes me there a bit sometimes.

Drugs inc is a good show.

Theres actually a pretty old dateline (I think) doc on counterfeit goods. They show you pretty much the entire process and how they select and search packages. A LOT from china. i think it's of the ISO in NY but it was pretty massive. They also seemed to usually search for quantity (boxes of fake Jordan's/ purses/ meds..etc). They did find STACKS of counterfeit travelers checks though. Totaling in the millions. Crazy stuff.

They also showed a sting operation of a guy selling fake stuff on CL. Baited him in to a sale and busted him for distributing counterfeit goods. The guy did have a truck load of purses, clothes, shoes and a house full of pirated movies.

I love a good documentary anyway but if it's on a subject that interests me, I'm all over it

I will try to look for the show you mentioned as well, or a DVD of it.

locked up (banged up) abroad is so funny at times. im convinced 90% of the stories on that show after season 2 are fake.
entertaining though.

i do wish netflix would update to the later seasons.
