That is true. And what I noticed last weekend , when I attended a reception with a high concentration of haute hologerie was that you really need to be a freak to distinguish a good rep from the original if you do not stare at other peoples' wrists.
And I really mean staring. Whether the engraving is 1/10 mm of or not - c'mon, who can see that without you handing your watch over to him...

That's why I won't do any modding for now.

The Watch looks good ;)

No worrie... You have Luck you got one of the good Cases with nice CGs... They look pretty same size on the Pics...
About the Rehaut engrave... You wouldn´t find any Rep Case that have an 100% align Rehaut Engrave they are all a little off...
But no worrie about that! Because Gen Watches (Cases) have the same problem...

The Sel Fit on this Watch looks great too... To get the @12 Marker line up with the Crown and @9 will be no big Deal...

To Waterproofe this Watch will be no big Deal too... Because the Noob Watches have Gen Specs... Normally i would say if the Watch (SubC) is Waterproofed by the Far East Factorys it is all good!
If you want be 100% right let do it an Watchsmith...

I Personally would give the SubC all some little Mods that are not sooooo Expensive but makes much different! and bring the Watch closer to the Gen.

1. Reshape the Crystal Gasket that the Crystal comes to the right Hight
2. Give the Ceramic insert an Paint Mod
3. Maybe an Complete Relume

If you have more $$$ around and want go more Gen, grab an Gen Crystal and or an Gen Complete Bezel (Cermic Insert)

If you change these both Parts your Watch is 95% close to the Gen...

Whait I've done already: I put the bracelet in WD40 for 1 hour and rinsed it with water afterwards. No squeeking/stiffness any more, feels really smooth :)

Try baby oil next time. Works as well as wd40 with no smell or toxic chemicals.

I opened the case yesterday and regulated the movement - so far +0,5 sec/15h. Oh yeah!!! :cheese:

Also greased the o-rings with o-ring grease I use for my diving camera case. The crown screws really really smooth now.

Used a rubber ball to unscrew the caseback. My question: how firm do I have to screw it in again?

As hard as the rubber ball will go. Tightening should be done with the rolex caseback opener and a hand tightener so it´s really solid, the ball will never go as far.

Very nice watch and technically tip-top which is always a pleasure. Is the lume slightly different on markers and hands? I´m asking because I´ve got only the older BP version with the worse ceramic insert and still not decided to get another one.
My distant BP-cousin says hello:)

and fine for swimming after silicon-greasing the stem-o-ring as well

1. You are not supposed to post QC pics - they are for your eyes only. 7
1.1. Seems ok but the picture quality is really not a highlight.

Thanks!

Well I was not able to see any difference in the lume.

MAYBE between pearl/rest. But nothing I would recognize at a glance...

You may be wrong there. If the crown at 12 is ever so slightly off, the 9 will be too.

Mine was a bit misaligned to begin with, maybe half an mm off, I aligned it as closely as I could but it's still not perfectly centered. But you'd need to look at it really hard to notice, and I can't be bothered to spend 20mins trying to get it from 99.9 to 100% ;)

not really, i got the same problem as goatrider. 9 perfect, 12 a bit shifted.

I think the rep movements nowadays are really great:

rep 116610: +5s/week(!)
My gen Navitimer world: +2s/day
Navitimer World rep: +6-8s/day
AP ROO Safari: +6-8s/day
Other gens (auto) +15s/day
Other gens (hand wind chrono) +20s/day

Good review and I have to say you are very lucky to get a sample with centred DW.

I just ordered one too, the wait is excruciating. Already bought a bottle of Martha Stewart Platinum paint for the insert paint mod. Cant wait.

As I
a) was smart enough to cause the keyless works problem and
b) intend to keep the watch for a longer time,

I have just sent it out for a spa treatment: full service+regulation, waterproofing, crystal height adjustment+cyclop hue removal, rehault alignment, bezel paint mod, dwo lineup check.

Now the waiting beginns. Will post an update after I have received it back.
