Hi
Im going to remove the A7750 from my watch so need to remove the stem.
Im aware that I should have in the date adjust position before pressing the little button down and pulling the stem out but do I need to press the little button again when I'm putting the stem back in or do I just gently push it in.
Thanks

2813 - winding position - just press stem back in while slightly turning the crown until you hear the "click"
2824 - time set position - just press stem back in while slightly turning the crown until you hear the "click"
2836 - time set position - just press stem back in while slightly turning the crown until you hear the "click"
7750 - winding position - just press stem back in while slightly turning the crown until you hear the "click"
7753 - winding position - just press stem back in while slightly turning the crown until you hear the "click"
6497 - winding position - Press stem back in till it won't get further, then screw the stem release screw back in.
6498 - winding position - Press stem back in till it won't get further, then screw the stem release screw back in.

There are a few times I've had trouble getting the stem back in on certain movements and pushed the button down slightly to make it easier, but most of the time you shouldn't have to.

My advice is, if you can't get it back in after 5 minutes of trying, you might as well try pushing the button cause you're probably going to have to take it apart again anyway.

Also, I find it a lot easier to put the stem back into the movement before you put on the movement clamps so you can get it properly lined up. If you have the movement clamped just slightly off center you'll never get the stem back in.

Interesting.. I've always taken the stem out in time set position and never had a problem.

This has worked numerous times for...

2824 and 2836 should be done in time setting position as my overview shows ;) The 6497 however has a solid keyless due to the big parts and only 2 positions: winding and time setting position. So, yeah basicly the chance of failure with that one is small anyway. :)

Guys slightly related question

My 7750 is back together it sets time it winds and it changes date manually by rotating hands 24 hours

But quick set date no longer works?

Any thought?

Is that keyless related or perhaps stem is not located properly?

Any insight greatly appreciated

If you can wind and change time, the keyless is most likely properly set. But there are two extra gears that come into play when quick changing date... one of those could be stuck, but there's no way of knowing without taking the dial off.
