Modd a UBoat Chimera

RWI family, let me first apologize if I am not posting in the proper area, but I just received my UBoat Chimera and I absolutely love it. One problem is the seconds hand stops at 58 seconds--as I thought about getting that fixed; I wondered is it possible to have the Chinese movement taken out and putting in a Valjoux or Swiss ETA movement. Can I have the crystal AR'd and other mods to it. This watch is a definite keeper for me and I know a Gen costs around $5000 so I would want to be cognizant of that, but what cool things can be done to this to make it solid; reliable and mines!!!!

Hi. Start looking for modders in Conus and contact them on it. Maybe a re-lume could be done as well. Movement swap is possible, You will just have to look a the cost (Ofrey sells movements - look for the one which is in it to get an idea).
Seconds stopping at 58 - You could check if the seconds hand is touching either the dial or the glass in that position, that would be an easier fix you could maybe even do yourself. Sometimes seconds hands also come loose on transport. Not yet familiar with that model. God luck in sorting it out.

its a standard 7750 sec@9 configuration so i would think its swap-able.

expect to pay about $500 for the movement. not sure how much someone would charge for a swap but i cant imagine it being cheap.

thanks BC, where do I find Ofrey to purchase one?? or is there other dealers on here that sell them either a valjoux or swiss eta?
