Two points,

1.I'm placing this in general on purpose so that new members will see it.
2. Before you senior members tear me to pieces and rip your clothes and scream at the computer, I want everyone to understand that I know after two, almost three years of reps that NO REPLICA is 1:1 perfect replication of its gen counterpart.

So with those two things in mind here's my opinion:

There's something impossible for me to explain, even with the mistakes with the replication the WM9 LV. It still catches the heart of the gen in a way that NO other rep has and may ever will...Here's some things I will point out that aren't really described much when describing watches that WITHOUT, no replica can really be "right".

The main things that leads me to this conclusion is the "FEEL" of the watch, the way it wears, the clicks of the bezel, the shimmer of the insert, the snap of the clasp, the depth of the shine, the crispness of the dial.
I'm not saying that other makers don't capture some of these things but I am claiming no other maker has captured as many of these things that I can only describe as the "FEEL OF GEN"...

Enjoy! Now for the comments and complaints...lol

It is completely stock except for the Pearl... This maker was killed in a car accident three or four years ago, in my opinion simply will never be replaced.... This now can only be purchased in m2m when one is listed for sell by a member... I just posted to show all the new guys what the possibilities are....
Isn't it an amazing replica? Photographs simply don't do it justice.

Gone but not forgotten:

I'm not a fan of the maxi dials but I can appreciate quality.

The rehaut engravings on these cases are amazing. I think TC even used these cases for a while.

I wish wm9 was still around but kinda glad he's not bc id go broke

No TC doesn't use this case nor has he ever.... Not knocking the TC cases because I own a couple now... now it is possible that TC's maker uses the wm9 YM mold or whatever they call it but the metal in the TC YM reflects the SS difference as it's a scratch magnet where the wm9 isn't,,, that said wm9 to me is in a league by itself... The quality of the SS is better then any other Rolex rep I've owned... I know people will disagree with me about the SS but the wm9 bracelet and case just has a deeper shine and more gen feel then anything except, well GEN.. LOL

I don't know what he does or doesn't do but there's been a consorted effort from the time TC arrived as a regular member then two weeks later was building better reps then anyone since George, to say that he's just fell into the same everything as watchmaker 9...lol maybe,,, but the quality of the base material isn't as good as wm9,,, the TC clasp in no way feels gen. The metal scratches like crazy and the LV insert he made just didn't ever hit near the level of quality as the wm9 Lv insert did.... We'll never know TC's association to wm9 as he's always claimed none... I can say that for a overpriced less quality replacement, his stuff will have to do as we've got nothing else or better....

Haha I missed the wm9 era but the ones I've seen are spot on.

Recently got a TC and beyond impressed with it. I can't imagine a rep being much better. Maybe I need to buy a wm9 one of these days (if I can find one).

Here's mine:

Mine is a bk tw wm9 lv. I dont know if thats the same version you're talking about but here's my thoughts:

I agree it has a very gen "feel." As mentioned, the parts are great and very close to gen. But I think the contributing factor to the gen feel is the build process.

From what I understand, these were assembled by BK. And the dials were superlumed by pbdad. So there probably was more work involved than the typical out of box rep.

Only flaw is the lower crown position. Mine didnt have the mod that allows for gen inserts so the only other issue i have is having to sand any insert i want to install.

This is my BK TW wm9 LV with gen LN insert and gen crystal. I installed a TC LV hands set to match the lume on the wm9 maxi dial and a TC v5 bracelet as well.

Mine got no rehaut engraving. Got it from m2m sales. No idea which version is this. Maybe 1st owner sand it off?

I own a TC LV Type 1 before, but sold it. And compare it to this wm9 LV, i still prefer TC one. The brush finishing on case of TC LV Type 1 is better and lugs shape is better as well.

As for the gen feel, i still prefer TC earlier version one.

I'm familiar with the BK TW and while it is a fine rep, it is NOT a wm9 watch, it's a BK gen construction sub....some call it a wm9v1 and that's ok...but it didn't come from the infamous wm9 maker "George"....I just want to clear up the watch I'm praising so highly is made by wm9 not a Taiwan sourced Bk....and yes the Black TT that's on Rg is most definitely a original wm9 and if I could afford to shell out that kind of money, I'd buy it....it's just that rare and that incredible....I believe there's a thread that's been floating around forever posted by Trailboss looking to buy one of the wm9 black TT?? Wonder if he's seen it?

And brad while you may like that version of sub-c I assure you the quality, while good, isn't that of a wm9 but it's comparing two totally different watches almost like comparing Pam vs. Rolex...
