Hi everyone. I've had a good read around here and checked out the Ofrei site but I'm getting more and more confused. Could anyone help me find a replacement crystal for my Black crSMP 300. I have contacted a company in UK who asked me to send the watch in to them. They said they would try to find me a gen replacement or they would make a new crystal for me. They would not be able to AR any made crystal. I am concerned they may not be too interested in a rep and just make me one I may not be happy with. Would a gen definitely fit my watch? Does anyone know where I could buy one and get it fitted in the UK? I bought this watch m2m here and there is a horrible clouding on the crystal that completely spoils it. Any help would be much appreciated. Cheers.

I'd talk to one of the uk/euro modders. They would have a lot more knowledge then general watchmakers.

PM me if you need recommendations.

If you want AR, you may have to gen a gen crystal. Assuming the smps are made to gen spec.
you could always buy a aftermarket sapphire crystal and have it AR coated.

The SMPc is built to gen spec...

A 42mm PO crystal will fit as well as a 2531.80 SMP crystal....the height (thickness) will be closer to the PO crystal as the SMPc bezel is thicker than the standard SMP (2531.80) bezel.

I have installed both of these crystals successfully in a SMPc case.

Well if the 42mm PO crystal fits it, you can probably find one of those easy enough from a member who has frankened his V4 or V5 42 PO. There's probably quite a few of them sitting around in peoples spare parts bins.

The main thing about finding parts is you have to know the stupid numbering system that Omega uses for their different models. Assuming you're in England, try Cousins, UK.

Thanks fellas. I have looked on the Cousins site but had no luck using the crystal links. Seems you need to be a trade member. So ... plea for help still exists ... anyone out there got a crystal that will fit? Case number is 168.1508. Look. Mine is just plain horrible.

I think the part you are looking for is 062SN2027. Ofrei has it listed for 82$!

Thanks for that Mr Pap. I checked the site but don't see my case number under that part number ...

I an not 100% sure but that crustal will work with model 212.30.41.20.01.003 witch is similar to model 212.30.41.20.03.001 so most likely it will work.

Where did you find that case number. I think the correct one is 168.1639

Case number is stamped inside case back. I have not been able to reference it anywhere. Perhaps a bit of rep artistic license?

Very interesting...that is the correct case number for the black SMPc. Why would that crystal (supposed to be double AR) be only $82 while the regular SMP (single AR) be $198?

I checked this once and if you put it in the cart, then the price is correct.

Did some more research....the price is right, but some of the case numbers are incorrect.

This crystal is for older Seamasters with no AR. It is not the correct crystal for the SMPc.

the calibre 2500 planet ocean genuine crystal fits fine, as has been said already. and makes a massive difference. anybody can have an account on cousinsuk, just register, find the part, and order it...it will arrive next day and away you go. this is a great option if your happy to spend the cash (approx. £170). PM me if you need more info.

Thanks but this is way more than I want to spend on a crystal. I appreciate the response though.

perhaps try contacting a TD then, one whos in with BP factory who make these models...josh at perfect clones would be a start (not a TD here but is on other forums). they may be able to source you one from the factory, shouldn't be too much cost either...
