Hi guys, i'm glad i found this site. i've been interested in AP for the last few months and i'm learning so much from this forum. I will buy a rep first so i can get a feel for the watch and then will decide which gen AP i will get. i have a few newbie questions.

What is AR?
How do i get ahold of domi and what can he to the watch without using a donor or buying gen dials.
Where is the best place to buy a rep

thanks

AR is Anti Reflective coating. It's used on crystals to reduce reflections etc.
Domi has a section here-----> http://forum.replica-watch.info/vb/forumdisplay.php?f=184
His wait list is very long. Be prepared to wait weeks/months if you decide you want his services. I think he only accepts EU business now. though.

Buy from the Trusted Dealers-------> http://forum.replica-watch.info/vb/forumdisplay.php?f=6 All the watches come from the same places. Most dealers have access to a watch if it's made.

Hi and welcome to the forum, as your questions were answered pretty much by Fiddo, Hang out in the AP section a bit more so that you can learn more, also, take a look at our sales section as there are members that sells APs modded by Domi. Good luck. :cheers:

welcome to the forum. Personally, I have several friends that have AP gens, and I have 8 AP reps. I have to say that I would much rather spend $600 for an AP rep that is 95% of the gen than $60-75K for the gen. Easy choice for me!

this is my story. i saw a pic of an AP with deviated sticking matching the color of someone's ferrari. i thought that looked pretty nice. i asked around and it was an AP. looked up how much it was and almost had a heart attack. well...i was still out to get one and my wife was ok with it. i was in NYC and tried on a few and was determined to get one. as i was researching how to tell a gen from a rep i ran into this site. after seeing a few rep vs gen photos and the mods some of you have done i'm convinced a rep is good enough for me. i would rather have a few reps than one gen. anyways i'm gonna get a few reps soon and give my wife a heart attack because she currently thinks i'm on this forum researching rep vs gen. wait until she see me with 2 APs...it's going to be priceless.

Similar story for me. I've been into APs for years now. Got into it when I was living out in Dubai where they are very popular. Many of my customers wore them so seeing them all the time made me want one even more!

Purchased a Brietling for Bentley and a Hublot but sold both as what I really wanted was a AP ROO Safari. That for me is one of the most beautiful timepieces ever made.

Last year I wanted to buy my wife a new watch. She wanted a Rolex. I took her to an AP lady Royal Oak but she was unsure. What done it though was when we went to the Rolex store and I dropped to the Sales Assistant that I actually want to get her an AP. The sales assistant says to my wife "madam I'm going to put these Rolex's away. When your husband wants to buy you an AP you don't say no!" She then told us which store we should go to and sent us on our way!

Picked up her Gen AP that day but still let a hole for me. Then I stumbled across this and other sites and have to say my flabber was ghasted! The quality of the reps along with the ability to franken... I was sold. Suddenly I went from getting a Safari to building a collection. I'm now waiting for 2 watches to arrive. The safari (with Gen Hornback) and diver (with SS and Swiss movement). Both are from members. It will do me for now but look to buy a few more next year.

I still hope to buy a Gen in a few years and probably build the rep collection too. I'll aim to mod all my watches to make them as close to Gen as possible.

Welcome mate...
1 gen = 4 Frankens, think about that too ;)
