I'm always motivated by seeing how others work the way they do, so I thought it would be cool to see your workbenches. I'll start:

(Yes, I have paneling in the work room)

That's a nice set up Bob. very nice. One thing I absolutely love is my Ott light. They are a little pricey, but well worth it. I have the desk top flip open model. The bulb is a full spectrum natural daylight illumination. It is awesome and perfect for things like working on watches. I originally bought mine for my drawings, but I use it for my watches now too. I got mine a few years ago at Jo Anne Fabrics. I'm sure other stores carry them too. But the difference is amazing. Here's a little about them. http://www.ottlite.com/t-once-upon-a-time.aspx

very nice Bob.
One thing I always struggle with is maintaining a dust free room, how do you guys do it?

Thanks George - I really do need a light. I see on their website that they also have them at Michael's. I'll just have to stop by after work!

Thanks,

Bob

Dust-free is virtually impossible...you can only be vigilant in constantly blowing things off and keeping delicates covered...

Yep, just keep a little blower thingy. lol. I forget what it's called. Give your watch a couple puffs of air and put the caseback on. My house is so dusty with all these animals. It's impossible to keep it dust free in here, but I've never had a problem with blowing the watch out and then quickly getting it put back together.

Yah Bob. those lights are awesome. I love it.
