Make sure you order your box and 'papers' separately and have it shipped alone. Ordering and having a watch shipped with a box and 'papers' is a guarantee it WILL be opened by customs. A bulky box shaped shipment always raises a red flag with inspectors. They will instantly think you will be passing this off as a genuine thing on Ebay and Craigslist. They clamp down hard on things like this. Good luck...........just some good honest advice here. Good luck on your quest. Oh, and welcome from Los Angeles, California by the way. Enjoy your stay !

Honestly: Spend the extra dollars on a gen box. They are super well made and a very nice home for your watches. The rep boxes are total s**t!

yes i will provide on this. My friend is a professional typographer. he will print the serial number etc. on the card and then clothe it with imperceptible film.
I also own timbre (false) of real jewelery that i will put on the back ..

I agree Tommy. what is the point? To have a box that sits around in your closet and serves no purpose? and to print on the warrantee card? A box came with one of my rolex reps several years ago. finally got sick of it taking up space in my closet and threw it away.

I have some boxes and warranties as well (rep of course). But to date, I have never dared to post photos of them them or my watches on social media. You never know who's looking....

Frankly if I see a friend post a rep watch on instagram, I won't call him out on it. But a gen owner might lol

Lmfao... sorry sho but all these reasons for rep bps are invalid. Don't get me wrong, I don't doubt your personal good hearted intentions but you may be the exception.

Yes I get the whole figurine collecting angle but....

They are originals not reps and having them complete with box and certs adds value. This applies absolutely in no way to reps.

I guess the photo shoot angle is plausible, but if you're never going to share them why bother shoot with the box, papers, etc.

Lastly, the guy the said he even knows a jeweler of sorts strikes me as shady... just saying why buy bps unless you plan on passing it off as gen eventually regardless of friends, business associates or simply to scam.

To each his own though, cheers mates :)

I want the box to keep the watch in when Im not wearing it and the papers just for auth. replica effect. I have no intention of ever selling a rep as a gen. I noticed on ebay that there are a lot of gen boxes how do I figure out which box goes with my watch?

a lot of people that get into this hobby dont just stop with one watch. It blossoms and before you know it you have several watches. If that's the case then a watch case would be the more suitable answer, that way you have a safe place to keep them, and also display them. I'd rather keep my reps in my sock drawer, which I do than in a watch box. especially a rep box. and the papers and booklets just mean absolutely nothing. I don't see the point. but everyone has their own thing.

Some of the boxes for Hublot or PAM just look great/impressive on TD´s sites and it sure would be fun to keep it inside. Just haven´t got any because the wood and locks might be crappy, misaligned, not well glued or the fabric parts smelly (just a supposition). Better to go with a quality Rainer watch box.
