Overall, the quality of this watch has SURPRISED me and caught me off guard. I am VERY impressed with Steinhart and have gained massive respect for the company. I like to think I've owned some high quality reps (~$400 range) but I'm quite amazed how they are still not quite on par with this gen ($500). The feel of the steel, the crown adjustment, the crispness of the dial, hands, bezel, case - amazing. I do own a Rep Submariner and I have to say it can be a nice change (preference) to have a larger 42mm vs the traditional 40mm.

Everything about the watch feels precise and solid; and as my FIRST GEN, I couldn't be any happier.

Will be ordering the PEPSI bezel insert so I can swap it out when I'm bored. :) Thanks for reading!!

LOL. I was going to say I like it on the bracelet. subs look to heavy for a strap to me. just doesn't go imo. but it's whatever people like. But I like them with what they come with. but a strap may be nice for a change once in a while.

It really is amazing watch! I would always get this one instead of Sub rep. Looks good on both bracelet and nato IMO. Thanks for sharing and enjoy it! I know you will. ;)
As for the strap, I would get something directly from Steinhart like Del did or maybe even better option, Rolex style strap from Donerix.

Ohh and btw check your first sentence under specs. "Quality of this rep..." hehehe

Nice catch shelby...haha. Too accustomed to saying "rep" as a substitute for "watch"

This is one great watch my friend! Enjoy it ;)

Just don't know how you think to change the inserts? I've seen guys changing it and in order to do that you'll have to destroy the one you have now!

That's a beautiful watch. Thanks for sharing.

I was looking at the OCEAN 1 but decided to go with the OCEAN Vintage Military instead. To me, either way you can't lose as they're both beautiful watches.

had two steinies for quite a while, i really liked the ocean one; very versatile can dress up or down. the av vintage was more of a casual watch, but both are very well built.
