If so lets see it! I think it'd be cool to put this already massive watch on a equally massive bund strap. plus the added thickness of the leather near the crownguard would push it up and away from the back of my hand stopping it from poking me and keeping it from making my hand turn green when I sweat. What do you guys think? PAM 382 on bund.

Bruce Banner perhaps. Although I don't think he'd care about his hand turning green.

I think it would be too thick, but maybe it depends on your wrist size.

Bruce Banner perhaps. Although I don't think he'd care about his hand turning green.

 good one

Lol not for me, my wrists are almost 10" in circumference. I think I could make it work. There is'nt much you can do to make this already masculine as hell watch be even more so. But a seriously vintagized bund strap would really add to it I think.

I think it would make it sit around here on the wrist, which wouldn't be bad and It would really add to the look of the watch. And the cool part is most of em allow you to slip off the back piece so you have two different straps in one. You can see the green from the crownguard on my hand in this pic lol

I mean check out this guy's pam on a bund. Obviously I'd be looking for a more green and bronze friendly version but the choices he picked are great with that watch.

On a side note anyone know if this is available as a rep? I've never seen this model and I love it

Ok so I'm going through with it. I'm going to get a vintage strap and then my grandmother (with her awesome tayloring skills is going to make me a olive green canvass bund to slide on the dark brown leather. It will match very well like that la bomba on the denim. I think it will give it a super masculine vintage military look. I intend to go to the army surplus store and pick up an old olive green canteen holder or bag and use the old canvass. that way the whole thing will look nice and faded and worn.

I also love the malio macchia strap so I'm looking into getting one (or a similar one) made with a matching leather bund. Not sure if he'll do it but it's worth a shot so I sent both him and Eric at Hamilton leather an inquiry. Hopefully one of them is down to give it a shot.

But before I order who is the King of the vintage bund? There must be one guy who is considered the master of this type of strap. Anyone know who?

Ok so I heard back from Malio straps and they're making me a "Macchia" strap with a matching vintage looking bund. I can't wait to get it. I borrowed this image from malio's site so picture this with a matching close fitting removable bund.

Ebay, it matches quite well although it's just a little behind in patina. The brushed finish is a little rougher grit then the watch. I debate scotchbriting it to soften the finish but I figure over time the scratches, wear, and patina will make it match perfectly anyway. The chemical comp of the metal seems damn close. I actually returned it to the origional strap but I antiqued it woth sandpaper. It's now older looking and goes better then the panatime ostrich. It will remain on there until the macchia bund arrives.

I put the first and last pics more for size and fit. It rides quite flat against the wrist which I love.

Ok so nay sayers be damned, I ordered a custom malio macchia with a bund for the bronzo. It took quite about a month and a half from order to receipt. But it was well well worth it. This is one of the nicest watch straps I've ever seen. Its thick yet super soft and supple. This is the first bund I've had and it goes VERY well on this watch. It does seriously add to the size of it but I think it's great. Remember I'm 6 feet and 285 pounds so I've got some big old wrists lol.

As far as the service and quality from malio, it couldn't be better. The craftsmanship is very impressive. Seeing a pic of their work doesn't do it justice. You truly have to feel it.

Well, I admit I didn't think so, but it does look good on your wrist. Congrats! :)
