Noob Exporer II V2 w/A2836 Now Available

What do you guys think of this? $308 at toro and no more fake 3135. Is it an improvement over the V1? Is there a difference in lume color between the hands and dial markers? I just got QCs. I've asked for one showing the date at 28 and one of the clasp but otherwise I'm accepting.

looks really nice! I usually throw the QC photographs in photoshop and invert them to highlight the flaws. sometimes it helps, but I couldn't really see any issues that way. And you mentioned the DWO that looks perhaps a little left justified.

Usually you can make any debris on the dial visible with a good inverted photo like that in PS. Nothing on this one... it looks super clean!

I wonder if the mismatched white on the hands and markers will be noticeable in real life? I doubt it.

And I HATE off center DWOs. A huge pet peave with reps. It drives me crazy to see people obsessing over the depth of the rehaut engraving while all the 20+ dates are getting part of the 2 cut off. Obviously not everyone agrees about that little detail.

It's not an exact science... but it does give another perspective when all you have to go on are the QC photos..

Here's another one from earlier of a different... Some things that popped out a little better were the hair/debris at 7 seconds, and inconsistent paint on the ceramic bezel.



If you have PS, it's just Image > Adjustments > Invert.

That suck's! I just paid $375 plus 25 ems shipping for the same watch only 3187 movement!
That will be the first thing i do is change that DWO to centered! Then total relume everything white C1

the mismatched hands remind me of the tudor bb's.. I expect there will be another v.X with updated matching lume soon after this batch sells.

and about the lume color, gen is supposed to be whiter. it maybe the lighting, but this looks grey in the pics.

This was a great rep at V1... Not seeing any substantial improvements. I think these version releases are just an excuse to increases prices.

As you can see the gen even looks a little gray under certain lighting!
So I think if I relume it as white as I can get it..and change that crapy DWO ...and maybe if I'm lucky find a gen crown and better crystal...I will call it a day!....The rep is that good..you do a little work on this piece!

And no one is going to call you out! Unless it's some old Rolex expert that has nothing better to do with his time! What's the chances of that?

I will post. I was more concerned about the white of the markers and hands not quite matching. It didn't think that they might not be white enough in general. Rudy, do you think they are not white enough or just slightly mismatched?

col , the v2 was only $238 about 4 months ago

the price increase is a bit steep to be fair , dealers already increased it only 2 months ago to $269

so , with this $309 watch , I wonder what exactly has improved ?

Egeoegart seems to be quite knowledgeable on the Expl 2, I am sure he will comment on this, I just ordered the new V2 black dial from Trevor. I have the V1 in white and will be able to compare. I will post some QC pics when I receive them.
