I'm in trouble....DEEP DEEP trouble.

How do I break this habit of collecting reps?

It started simply, a $50 Tag in Manila, then a $189 PO Omega from Perfectwatches....

Then I found RWI

Now I have 21 reps, most $400 or more!

I just spent $700 on 4 straps. 2 from HK Tan and 2 from SMP_lover

How do I stop before I start to think Franken/modding?

:(

That's merely the price of one Rolex. What would you prefer? To wear the same watch over and over or have a kick ass collection?

You can't. Just accept defeat, cry some and hug your watches in till you fall asleep?

Seriously, I would set a limit on maximum amount of watches. So like someone else said, you have to sell to buy.

I bought a watch box that fits 12 watches. I try to keep it to 12 but I have 15 right now so I will be selling a couple soon. It's hard but the watch box helps me keep it down.

Sell watches and build up your Paypal balance. Don't cash in the balance. Instead, look at your Paypal balance as play money. Now only buy and sell watches from that balance. You'll hopefully never spend any "real" money for a long time and might get to the point where you're happy with under 10 watches and can safely cash in what you have in your Paypal account.

I think Thrasher understands me best.

I had to buy another watch to make me feel better about buying too many watches

If you really want to get cured of this problem ship the watches to me and start a new watchless life.

Buy the watches with money you shouldn't have, that way you won't feel guilty. For example, this week I would like to thank to a nice police officer for my newest Pam, he stopped me doing way over the speed limit and instead of a ticket and possibly arrest all I got was a warning. The guy saved me a lot of money so now that I got home with all this extra money in my pocket, what could I do with them? Buy a watch, off course.

its ok mate. I'll make you feel a bit better.

My peak and the most I had at any one time was about 58 reps. All average over $300 a pop. Some were modded ROOs and IWC Slevin with ETA cost over $1200USD each to build. Now i'm back down to around 25 watches. Trying to keep it around 25-30 MAX now. LOL

Oh yeah thats NOT including my Gens which includes Tag Grand Carrera 8/Rolex Sub/Breitling Chronomat and an Hublot. The gens alone cost me over $30k but sold them all except the Tag and Hublot.

I just have no need to have that many watches however I do understand your impulse and at one time I also had many many watches but of course many of them sat untouched.

Over the last few years my collection consists of only watches I really desire for long term. I just have no desire to have a giant box full of reps. I would rather have that one watch I really love the ten reps but we all have diffirent desires.

Agree 100%. Most my reps stay inside as box queens and dont even get worn. But the problem with watches is that I like to have a new one every few months or so ----- just like women I guess. I like to have a new flavor every now and then. :)

21? Only?!! That's just the number of reps I recently sold. And I'm still a loooonggg way to go. In fact, I think I won't finish and have to give up and accept my fate.

But you know what, it's far better than gambling. Here, when they depreciate you can still see, touch, and enjoy them. In the casino, when you lose you're broke ;)

I feel your pain brother. :culpability: I found RWI about 9 months ago when I was researching a Rolex that I had found (ended up being a POS Canal St watch). Since then I've purchased 24 watches - most for me but a few for the wifey. I've had mods done, purchased gen parts and bought many straps. I've sold one watch so far and given away a few that I didn't care for (just gave a nice DSSD to one of my employees). I've got 2 on my hit list right now - the BlancPain FF and the Pam 382 Bronzo. I keep telling myself that these are the last I'm buying - "for a while" - but all these f-ing killer watches keep on popping up. I guess you could call it an addiction. My wife does....
