Where did you Guyz get the Gen Rubber Bezel?
i have check soooo often but mostley the Price for that was too High...

Gen bezel is rubber, rep bezel is plastic. Scout the net, and you will find.

slaughter i read the gen rubber bezel is steel inside with coat rubber. rep is all plastic no support structure. can you confirm detail. so you got a gen lens for bezel or replica glass fit ok

I am atm not 100% sure if i should Build an Franken or if i should spend some $$$ and buy the Gen.
The Point is the Franken Project will rise at 4k Euro
The Gen i can Get for 9k in good Condition.

If you can't see the Watch anymore and would sell it you would find only a Hand of PPL that buy an Rep for 4k

selling the Gen for 9k is easier.
So 4k for an Rep. is normaly Crazy... I know we are all Crazy here hehehe

Correct Derek80: gen rubber bezel is steel with rubber coating. Gen crystal. No gen gaskets. The magician will have to figure it out. It is my challenge to him.

Gen Construction is Steel with Rubber and there are differents in the Steel! You wouldn't notice if it is Build in.
But if you have an RoseGold you will get at an Service an RoseGold Rubber Bezel and this cost a lot of more $$$
The Steel is much cheaper.

Surprise me you did not try to assamble it, since you have the thumb and also sample for it.

Slaughterer the Gen Crystal have an Gasket too.
but the Crystal will press other way in the Bezel as the Rep.
That's the Big prob at the Rep with get it Water Proof

if the Pressure is too much the Crystal plop into the Case.

The Gen Construction is other wise Build that's why you can give the Gen more the 10bar Pressure

with an AP Diver Rep i wouldn't dive under 100ft with the Gen you have NP

And one thing the Crystals of Mikey looks really Great but on your Gen Bezel it sit to high! The Gen Crystal is less then 0,1mm over the Bezel and your Pics looks like around 0,8-1,0 the gen is 0,5 i mean. Not 100% must ask my AD

I like the gen bezel/crystal a lot better than the rep bezel/crystal for the RC. It is worth the price. I would not consider doing this Franken if I did not have those parts.

The Mikey crystal is 2mm thick, the rep crystal is 1.8mm thick. But the Mikey sits higher in the plastic RC bezel than the SS bezel.

It needs no Eagle Eyes to see if it is an Franken or an Gen.
1st point is the most Franken use the Rep Bezel Screws that Screws looks really poor and didn't have that nice Bling bling.
And if they Gen also then you have the different Case Complete Hight.
You didn't get the Rep on same size as the Gen Case.
And i see some Franken where the Hight of the TachyRing was totaly wrong.

I think the Price different to an Gen isn't soooo high at the Standart APs if you find an Special Edition Dial for 1k with the Tachy then the Price for an Franken will be ok.
so i am not 100% sure atm as i said. The Franken looks great no choice, but you pay mostley 4-4,5k for the Head only then you buy an Gen Strap and Mikey Clasp and these and that. And you end up at 5k ok the Gen cost 4k more but you get an Gen Movement, all Screws Gen, Crystal, Case, Pusher, Crown, CaseBack Papers Box and and and.
if you buy all the missing Parts for your Franken you will Hit the 9k i am sure.

not many people can tell franken, may be less then 50 people around the world.
(you will be one of them)

and also some of the franken use a gen screw, like edge build.

and also edge has his franken on the correct case height.

I saw more than 8 franken now with correct mid case height.

so franken these days is pushing more and more better.

And building AP's franken shouldn't for resale, the project is for personal satisfaction i think.

I never saw anyone make money or retain their money on ap franken sale. (unlike pams and iwc portugese.)
