The Asian factories sometimes put little gold washers on gear C to cover up their guilt at not putting jewel in the bridge for this gear. Gear C is the gear your small seconds hand rides on, and (along with D, E and two other gears underneath this bridge you do not see) is constantly turning when the watch is operating. Having a gear ride in a jewel is better than having it ride on the metal bridge: reduces wear and tear, reduces friction. The power output of your A7750 is constantly pushing these five gears for the seconds output, and a few gears for the hour and minutes output. The seconds output sucks a lot of energy out of the movement because of the number of gears in the transfer system that the seconds output has to go through and their construction. Imrpoving construction and reducing friction and wear in this system is desirable from power reserve perspective but also from wear and tear perspective. Metal on metal typical results in faster gear wear. ETA does not manufacture a gear C for replacement, as this gear C is a fully new Asian innovation. Once gear C breaks, your rep movement is useless. But (and this is the point of my first post on this thread), other things can break as well, not just the transfer system.
