So I finally have the money to pull the trigger, and have been thinking about a TC Sub for a long time, but now I am not sure. I read some reviews on some minor issues with the dial being off a little, and the bracelet having some issues. Then I ran across BK's offering sub-c v2 and that looks really nice.

I've even considered the Noob Factory 2013 116610LN A3134 Superlumed from intime http://www.intime.co/product.php?id_product=1237

What do you all think? I've been waiting to buy my first sub for a long time, just looking for a little guidance here.

I wouldn't get the v2 either. Wait on the v3 if like me, you like ceramic. If you prefer the old aesthetic, TC is the one to buy from. Just be diligent with QC as many seem to ship with various alignment issues.

My tc has no issues at all. I sold my subc as the insert is a dead giveaway-I have a buddy w a gen and it just can't hold a candle to it.
If shooting for accuracy then tc is the way to go. Get a gen insert for it and you're set!

if your tc will come with these issues , you can adjust them and change the bracelet when the new will be.. just wait for v3 and then decide..
for the rest, maybe I'm exaggerating but for me

Tc 95% gen like
bk 55% gen like

NO STORY !!

Hi, as the V6 has been extensively discussed, thought I just might throw in some comparison pictures from the TC Cadell Rouge (features the Seadweller-style 2.00mm pre-modern Rolex crystal and the very Kensington High 16610 dial with gen indices, lume application and dial print vs. the Asian 16600 Seadweller). The V6 didn´t exist when I ordered and the V5 did not come with the superior KH-dial, but than the Tudor Blackbay didn´t exist either. In my opinion today the decision is just between getting the (better manufactured and thinner) V6 or getting a 16600 Seadweller and the Tudor Blackbay alltogether for the same price. (leaving out the BK)
The Rouge has the same caseset as the TC V5, the red second hand and the inverted dial.
On to the pics, enjoy:

I still own BK built black Sub using Noob caseset and still love it, it has some issues but not too bad at all. From Pics V2 sub-c and TC V4-6 had very good SEL spacing to the bracelet the fit is very tight, is that always the case? I would eventually maybe source a gen insert and be done. I do love the ceramic new case shape as to the eye it is bigger and chunkier and if they get the. Insert to be gen like I think I might go that route and have BK build it with Swiss eta movt. H ow is the movement in TC V6 , is it Swiss eta? I read it is a clone, is it accurate? How does it tick. And second hand sweeping is smooth like BK's Swiss eta he puts in his builds ? Also from what I read TC does not have Rolex on rehaut any longer is that right?

Hi Panerai: TC uses the watch case setwith sanded off and removed rehaut engravings, more like 2003 - 2007 gen Sub16610 or 16610LV with tube already sealed in watchcase (waterproofness). No engravings if You remove the bracelet either. SEL spacing is perfect and watch sits lower on wrist which gives it an improved feel and better looks from the side at a 90% angle that´s right.
As ETA started reducing to 55% the supply of gen ETA movements in October 2013 TC now uses the TC 2824(shockproof) movement. This is an ETA 2824-2 super-clone with #4 Canon Pinion, it eliminates the ugly factor rep Rolex watches look fake and is also used in the gen-market. Steinhart has also replaced the ETA as it´s no longer available to them. Perfect sweeping/ adjustable/accurate time-keeping/shockproof.
If You love the bigger/chunkier case that settles it.

Submariner Ceramic compared to TC Submariner Rouge (no Cyclops)

Great read guys. So It's probably better to wait for TCs new V6 to come out? Any idea when? I emailed him a couple days ago asking this question and have not heard back.

@Daywatch. Thanks for the info. Forgot about ETA restrictions these days. So that clone TC uses is smooth seconds hand and not load as far as rotor goes ? I read somewhere on here those are the differences compared to BKs builds. But yea overall I will go for TC newest if and when is available. Hopefully he can get a maker to make fen like insert that would be finished product is not spend 150 on gem one. But it would be interesting to see v3 sub-c when it comes out.
