Updated 15400 Royal Oak Best Edition/ZFac with MIYOTA 9015 movement

Looks like it's been given an upgrade to a Miyota 9015 movement, with some kinda crude engravings. Bezel screws are also apparently more recessed.

Recessed bezel screws. Dial doesn't look any different. AP logo still missing that white thing (though tbh I can't even notice this flaw on my current 15400 on my wrist)

Noticed this yesterday, nice with the new movement plus the rotor bearing looks better, thou yes the Audemars Piguet engraving does kinda look crude. Could do with few better pics on the engraving!

it's just the current model but they swapped out the A2824 with a myota and slightly sank the inaccurate bezel screws.

Come on. That is just crazy. Change a well-known movement in a cheaper movement from japan, drill the bezel holes 0,4mm deeper and require the same money as for the old model? where will it end if we all buy everything?

Miyota may be cheaper than asian eta, but i'm kinda fed up seeing a2824 in so many reps, so to me it came as a breath of fresh air. I have it in my titanium diver and i'm pretty happy with it in terms of performance and looks. It's much more interesting than eta.

Yes but the factory dont swap the movement to give us a more interesting movement. They do it to make more profit.

Miyota has a rather good reputation for reliability from what I understand. The movements don't look very appealing though.
I'd like to see some real numbers on the cost of these movements. If they are price gouging I say we make a deal about it. It's worked before.

I have been thinking of getting a 15400 for some time now. Is there a guide somewhere out there for the current 15400s available?

Profit also has a lot to do with the amount of units sold. This might be one of the first models to be offered with a Miyota movement but it won't be the last for sure. The asian ETA manufacturers will have to follow or else they will be driven out of the market. Props to Citizen and Miyota manufacturers, they've done a big favor for a lot of people.
