The ice and refinish work on that Safari dial is very bad, BTW. Look at the way the numbers have been repainted. The logo is also destroyed (crooked, with a line through the lettering). This store is located in so-called diamond district and, as said before, is probably retro-icing some OEM dials as a side business. Unfortunately, their craftsmen make mistakes and the defective merchandise ends up on their fleabay portal. This is one way to make sense of their business model. Probably a lot of family from Williamsburg Brooklyn in the store and offices.

Can't believe that the Safari dial is still for sale with 4 price offers after hearing for a year on rep forums how the Safari OEM dial is a grail, and cannot be found. Forget low-balling this seller. They are not going below 4 figures, sorry. (I did not do any bidding on Safari dial, BTW).
I think the main reason is because the tachy ring that comes with it is wrong. It's from White Theme since it's silver, not cream like the dial. The seller also confirmed it's silver. At least that's what made me hold off from getting it.

That puts the sale in perspective: If the tach ring is silver then that reduces the value of the package as a Safari tach ring is difficult to get on its own.
Many of these OEM dials are still up for sale. The seller (chrono store NYC) is getting more open to price offers as a result. They surprisingly just accepted a low-ball offer from me. Some attractive dials still up.
