Hey everyone,
Happy 2014 to all!

I joined RWI in August, having an interest in watches but honestly not knowing much. One of my prized possessions during college was an Invicta Sub homage ... until it broke.

Surprisingly, I stumbled upon RWI while searching for a Nomos Tangente. My second day on the forums, I found a m2m sale for this now rare watch, sent a PM, bought my first rep, and started this crazy fun journey in the rep world. Before this, my knowledge of 'nice' watches was thought to be Rolexes, Bulovas, and Movados. I'd never heard of Audemars Piguet, Panerai, Hublot, Breguet etc.

I went a bit crazy during my first 3 months and bought and flipped a total of 18 reps. I even got my fiancee excited about this hobby as I purchased 3 reps for her.

I'd like to share with you my watches in my collection. It's been continuously evolving, and I hope to have a nice mix of reps, gens, vintage watches, homages, and other unique pieces.

I'm down to only 3 reps in addition to some various gens, but admittedly I caught the AP bug and have a few APs coming in by EMS.

So, how about we get started?

The AP Diver that piqued my interest in AP... I believe it's a v3.5 that I picked up from m2m for a good price


Vintage Rolex Daytona 6263. Love the feel of this when I handwind it, and so comfortable to wear. Got cwazy1's special vintage lume dots applied to dial and hands.

I got this one used from a bud here and he gave me a great price on it, thanks xj!

They do come up for sale in the WUS sales section as well.
If you're thinking new, you can either purchase a Seiko snzh57 and mod with the dial yourself, or a user by the name of Yobokies at WUS sells them already modded. Sells for about $320 brand new ship from HK. I think you can purchase the parts by itself too.

Here's my gen Omega Speedmaster, reduced version, on a cheapie honey gator cardboard strap. I really should get it on something nicer ... any suggestions?

Here's my daily beater fantasy / custom build by Tanto. It's a 2 line sub with Tudor style snow flake hands on a leather nato from C&B. At some point I'll replace it, maybe with a nice TC or the new Black Bay, whenever that comes out hehe.

Very nice collection, mate. You're heading in the right direction; from experience I know that some watch brands suddenly "grow" on you. It's part of the adventure of collection reps. Happy New Year.

Yeah, my crazy phase where I purchased a whole ton of reps was kind of my feeling out phase. I had, for instance, a few PAMs...but never could get used to them and thought they didn't look too good on me. Maybe I'll give them a try in the future

Apparently Mikhail Gorbachev was fond of this one back in the 80s. I have it on a black canvas strap here.

Here's one for the ladies. I picked this Cartier Ballon Bleu up for my fiancee from Stan / WBK Time. It's a quartz model, which she appreciates, and looks stunning. Check out the dial and guilloche!
