I have been hearing about these so-called quartz movements that act like a 7750 movement. Been waiting for a video. Haven't seen one. I found this one:

http://www.timemodule.com/sii/video/vkvideo.php

Check it out if you are interested. The movement uses cams to reset the hands to zero.

It answered the one question I had.... does the second hand at 6 sweep or tick. Answer.... tick. :(

We need to start getting something like the Bulova Precisionist movements into the reps! What do you think?

Would be great indeed... 7750 features at a quartz pricepoint, minus the issues. Dreaming !

Yeah but not with the same case set and all... Some quartz reps are pretty well made though.

I like the movement. It "ticks" but it ticks in 1/5 second increments which I can live with.

It's a shame the case, etc. is not more appealing. I'd buy a popular rep (Breitling SO crono, PLO crhono, or Daytona) running that movement in a hot minute.

Great video on that "snapback movement" as WBK [Stan] a trusted dealer here calls it. Has offered it in quite a few of his reps before. Great tutorial post !! Thanks !!

True, but that is for the big, sweep second hand when the chrono is running. The unfortunate part for me is that the seconds at 6 tick as deadbeat seconds.

Exactly! That is where I first saw it mentioned but no one had a video of it. It took a bunch of searching (and looking on Japanese sites) to find one.

Item #145

This watch is super elegant!!!!

I personally think this is the nicest Daytona ever!

The blue MOP dial really compliments the brown ceramic bezel.
And the SS with the alternating plished and matted links looks all the world like the gens platinumn finsh.

The watch is a high quality Stainless Steel
The case measures the correct 44mm not including the crown and lugs
The crystal is saphire
The watch has outstanding Seiko VK movement that emulates the 7750 movement.
It's quartz, but whgen you run the chrono, the sweep hand sweeps!
And the second hand is in the small 6:00 subdial.
This watch has the correct subdial spacing!

The chrono pushers and crown screw down.

Only $165.00 with FREE Priority shipping to anywhere inside the USA!

A video I found that I hope shows accurately what the movement will do in this watch:
