Thanks :adoration: There isnt a woobly hand on the second dial as i expected, although the 30 minute dial on the right seems to jump behind the 12 occasionally when resetting the chrono.

I havent worn it for more than an hour or so as its an xmas present.

I feel that my 104 from Noob feels a little bit more "solid" but i wont know untill i wear it a little more. The mechanism is a little louder when you move it quickly.

Spaggettio,

Which movement, 7750 or the 7753?

I have a 162 that I purchased from TORO and it is my favorite (for the time being) of all my watches REP or GEN.

Its the 7753 movement.

I noticed that puretime has two versions one is the 7750 and 7753. The rotor is louder in the 7753 is this normal?

Im quite new to this and dont know the difference between the movements. I bought the 356 from noob factory as my 104 is a great watch.

Spaggettio,

There are several sticky threads under the PAM REP section and under the movement forums that discuss the pro's and con's of 7750 and 7753 movements. My 162 has the 7753 movement and it has a distinct mechanical sound when I shake it. I checked the other REP's I have and they all make essentially the same noise as the PAM. My GEN submariner makes no noise when I shake it, I guess there is a reason the Rolex cost 50 times more.

Cool Thanks,

Ive been spending alot more time on the forums and it makes me want more watches lol. Going to have a read about these movements.

I was playing around with my 7750 movement and something happend to the crown. Cost me $40 from the local watch guy to fix and it feels alot better than when i first got it.

One day ill get my GEN PAM :02.47-tranquillity:

I can say the same thing, once I found RWI I have been hooked on reading the post here.

I must say having owned a GEN Rolex and one of the REP's I enjoy wearing the REP more because I don't have to worry about damaging the watch when I wear it.
I have been browsing Ebay for Panerai watches to see what the cost of a GEN would be. But, now that I've purchased Rep's from the TD here on RWI and seen the quality of the REP's available
I am more than a little concerned whether the watches on EBAY are truly GEN.

I have to strongly agree with you there. This is a common discussion between a friend and I. He owns 6 REP AP divers (3 modded) 1 rolex and 2 Pams. With the amount on money he has spend on REPS he could have bought a GEN PAM. He says " id rather have 9 REPS than a GEN, i can actually wear them lol"

My boss has a GEN 104 i have a REP 104. He instantly bought the same NOOB REP i have and his GEN went straight into his wardrobe.
