I have come up with a reward system for losing weight and expanding my watch collection. After 50 lbs lost I got a gen PO and have the rest of the goals mapped out but have one open slot.

I have already chosen some Rolex, Panerai, AP and Chopard reps so I could use some suggestions on a watch for under $200 shipped from another brand. I have searched the history on the various rep forums on this topic and got a few ideas such as Ulysse Nardin Maxi Marine, TAG Formula 1 and IWC Big PIlot. But none of these really interest me so I am open to more suggestions.

Thanks in advance

Most reps under $200 are trash. When looking for a good rep, don't set a price range. Compare the different models and make an educated decision based on your extensive use of the resources provided by the forum.

Being new wont help so be active here and read a lot.

I do like the sub 200 UN blue surf. It works well and keeps good time. Hardware is a different issue....

I agree with bmw. You get what you pay for. You have worked so hard to lose this weight. I watched and helped my mother for many months, and probably one of the hardest things I have seen someone accomplish, and you deserve something wonderful for it. For just a little more money you will have a great rep with the 2836 movement or comparable. You deserve it and will be much happier with the quality.

^^^^ Most of us who've been here for a while will attest to this. We are just trying to save you the money we wasted on "economy" watches. I was lucky that when I started , I received guidance from some good members.

agreed, and unfortunately I bought a cheapie before I found this site which promptly fell apart, and felt so cheap and looked so cheap, fortunately then I found this site and did a lot of reading and got some good guidance from some elder members with a lot of experience and made some wiser choices with my watches. So do some reading, and don't be afraid to ask some questions too. But a lot of the info you will need is written in stickies in the different sections, and the FAQ's. But if they aren't answered then ask someone. Glad to help. and glad you are working towards a goal. That is very exciting.

You should see some of the stuff I had played with before finding this site. I used to show them to my friends just so we could laugh , and feel good about our overpriced Gen's

Check out the specials section on Toro's site, some good deals to be had there.

Stan's watches are mostly sub $200 and I have a couple from him for a while now. Something I started with when I first joint here. They are still working well. Take a lot as well WBK.

Thank you all for the suggestions. The Breitling Abyss looked very nice. And looking though the sales section is probably the best way to see more watches and get more bang for my buck.
