Just received a watch running on A7750 from a TD.. Everything looks fine but the day and date just won't move when I tried to adjust. What can be wrong? I have written to the TD telling him about the issue besides the second hand looks stained/rusted at some area. Waiting for reply.. Meantime just like to know what went wrong that can cause the day and date not able to be adjusted?

1. What watch?
2. Did you pull out the crown to #2 position?
3. Are you sure it's A7750?

Spitfire.. It's stated A7750 seconds at 9. It was at 4.35pm when I tried adjusting the date. I remember not to adjust anything between 10-2 but not sure why though.

Are you using the crown or the pusher to change the date? Correct me if i am wrong but I think the date pusher button (usually at the 10 marker) is faux for a 7750 movement.

I'm using the crown. When it didn't flip I tried the pusher at 10, but that seems to be a dummy cos also nothing happens.

Do you know of a watchsmith that will work on reps? A service (not a bad idea for 7750 mvmts in general) will likely to fix it. Depending on the cost of return postage, it might be a better option to service it locally (time vs $$).

I may have to find a watchsmith that repairs that.. But as Luth said it might have been a lemon, so I'll wait for my TD to reply and see what he can do for me..
