My lovely watch arrived today. It really is superb.

There is just one problem though. I can not open the clasp on it.

I keep trying to lift the little crown up but it I not budging at all. is it just stiff? Any suggestions or am I just being totally dense and trying to open it wrong.

I want to get it on my wrist (cries in the corner)

Don't use the crown to open it with use two fingers on the side of the bracelet and pull it up. It takes some force when new but don't worry, after while it'll be too easy to open and you'll be asking how to fix it so it stays shut.

Oke, don't lift by the crown, grasp the sides of the bracelet where the crown is (you should be able to tell where it splits) between thumb and forefinger, hold the other half firmly and pull upwards. They are very tight at first.

EDIT: KBH beat me to it.

Will have to keep persevering, as it just will not budge lol.

They are a lot tighter than you think. Hold the non crown side with thumb on top, forefinger under, hold the other one by the sides of the bracelet and pull up and back, it will come.

Many thanks......I shall let the man of the house take a look, that way if he breaks it, it will not be my fault and he can buy me another :)

What We really mean is we bow down to your superior wisdom:thumbsup:

I always speak in low tones, move slowly, and never make direct eye contact.
As so I am not taken as being aggressive. (because then I would really get a :spank:)
And yes ma am never hurts either .

He should like the quality, most of those Day Dates are very well put together indeed.

The Seamaster POs are top stuff (there are several models, most are very good). The YM2 not so much, I'd tell him to forget that one.
